What's Your Point!?!- Wave V Edition

By Vykes, in Star Wars: Armada

Welcome to the second official iteration of What's Your Point!?! Sorry Stev, I did promise to make one for Wave 5. What's Your Point!?! is the natural progression of our regularly scheduled speculation thread and in no ways hopes to curtail that vaunted cultural gaming experience!

So, think you got the gift? Heard word from a little bird? Or are you too the monarch of math, here to lead us into the next age? Claim your numbers, your two ship versions, and for the trifecta, our newest ships' speeds! Speak up for the record and we'll see who has the right to say 'I told you so'! More than one person can take the same numbers of course. Like always, it's your guess.

Think the point spreads are enough? Got your numbers all ready? And as always, if you've got an idea for a wager or a question, I'm all ears. So, ready to sign on the dotted line and stake your claim?

What'cha think, we got enough material for a Corellian Campaign version?

I regret nothing i am just a simple bothan!

That sounds like the trickery of a Bothan aristocrat to me :P Hail all Bothans, bearers of life-saving information. Image the slaughter that would erupt here, and in so many other corners of the galaxy, if it were not for them easing our troubled, anxious minds.

Seriously, you do good work, mate :)

Phoenix Home: Seems to be the perfect marriage between a Neb-B and an AFMK II. I'm going to guess it's point costs for the two versions at 63 for the low and 68 for the high.

Imperial Light Cruiser: This looks to be an amazing compliment to Gladiator and a bit better than the raider, I'm going to point cost the two versions at 52 and 57.

Z-95 is hard to tell without seeing it's dice but I would agree with you that 8 is a solid bet. It is slower than a TIE but I am assuming it has better armament. I will put the unique at 17

E-wing looks way overpowered so I am gueesing it will be expensive, I am putting the base at 18 and the unique at 27

VCX-100: 14 and 28

Lancer: 16 and 26

Imperials, **** no clue on these guys.

I will set the ILC cost at 50 and 56pts, speed 4. (So that I will be positively surprised when its speed 3 ;) )

(It will most likely be, with TRC, a pain in the a... for us rebel players :) )

Z95 will cost 8pts and 15pts

E-wing will cost 15pts and 21pts

The rest I have no idea of yet.

14 seems low for the defender but will have to see its dice pool

Arquitens 53/58

Righto, updated. Though do tell me of how fast those delightful little sorts will be going.

True Chr, it might be. Buuut, why not hazard a guess, eh? By the time we see those dice, it'll likely be far too late :P

As for me, I put down some numbers because I had a brief 'look' at 'em and said 'hey, we need numbers on tables!' For instance, I have no idea how much the Phoenix Home's Fleet Command upgrade slot is going to be worth. Got to be something.

I have no idea how much the Phoenix Home's Fleet Command upgrade slot is going to be worth. Got to be something.

That is the big X-Factor for this ship but I am thinking that abilities point cost will mostly be in the upgrades associated with it and not the ship itself.

Agreed, mate. What's getting me right now is the wording in the article, "Nonetheless, for a handful of fleet points, each of them allows you to spend command tokens to power advantages across every ship or squadron in your fleet!" How much is 'a handful'? Is that more than a couple and less than a few? :P So I wouldn't be surprised if it's factored into the ship, kinda like the INT's grav wells.

Ahmm I didn't set any point guess on the Pelta

And the ILC (Imperial Light Cruiser) was set at speed 4 not 3

Don't want to be with the cool kid on speed 3, eh? The other one I blame the forum for, it pasted in some old numbers from the ILC to the PH :P

Oy, that's a lot of stuff! I will just stick with the ships for now:

And Rogue, which seems pretty great with Snipe.

And Vykes, my apologies about your table troubles.

Righto, all updated and accounted for me thinks.

Aye, I'm actually a little surprised how mundane good ol' Corran is without some unique rule. I'm not complaining, he just feels 'off' in that sense because I'm not sure what to make of it. I guess he seems like a rebel IG88 which is fine.

Heh, no worries Cally, mate :P It just made me feel stupid when I realized I'd made the table with 1cm spacing and was taking the long way around increasing the number of rows :P
