BUT...I would like MORE than a real moderator. I would like FFG designers to chime in & point out stuff- let us know when a topic is going south and post facts and answer questions. Not all the time but maybe Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, someone can be here to hold our hands and lighten the mood with a little joke in the morning. OR just a separate sub-forum "Ask FFG a question." but they hafta answer at least 75% of questions posted.

I told some dude off because he accused me of stealing babies from the employees of FFG or some lame crap. I put him in his place and then told the mod who gave me the point to go and read the entire thread and not just the reported post. Bam! Warning Point rescinded.

Honestly, it's just juvenile to censor words arbitrarily. Why ***** but not ass? Why ****** but not genitalia?

Maybe if kids need to be protected from the bad words, an optional filter in the settings you can turn on and off? Like a real forum would have? Come on!

Also, if you don't want your kid doing dumb **** on the internet... maybe supervise them a bit? Eh? Eh? Naw!

I was surprised to find no "official" poster-makers on these boards and I agree a little FFG presence would be nice. On SJ Games forums there are several writers and designers who regularly contribute officially, non-officially, and keep a close eye on trolls and flaming. I guess I just assumed it was like that everywhere.

Not that they need justify anything in game design (hey, it's their game, I just get to play), but sometimes a "this is what we were thinking" would be cool.
