At first I was pissed and thought Sabine's tie was a joke. Now I see a potential with the troll ties. At least with 4. It's perfect for epic to troll an confuse imperial team. Fly right in the swarm. Hopefully not attacked. But if attack, Dead Man's switch.
The rebell trollfighter
I'm not following.
- If the Imperial player doesn't realise your TIEs are Sabine's TIEs then they'll call you out for an illegal list in setup.
- Your list isn't hidden information so the Imperial player knows they're rigged to blow.
Even if you did manage to get your TIE amidst the swarm, it:
- Has a red base.
- Has a red dial.
- Has its moves set by you.
- Is moved by you.
It's going to blindlingly obvious to the opponent that this is a stolen TIE.
That's why it comes with mechanics for being "undetected." I believe it's a condition card that has rules to reveal the TIE under the right circumstances.

I don't get it why you were pissed. Just don't buy or use it
PS: Dead Man Switch only works once because Sabines title (illicit slot) is unique

Buy or buy not, there is no pissed.
Time for everyone to realize that our X-wing game is so freaking awesome and so well loved that FFG will be releasing ships "forever"... That means we will get every Star Wars ship that flies in space and has guns (proof: Quadjumper; exception:GR-45*) will most likely make it into the game AND FFG will figure out someway to make it fun and somewhat competitive. So just relax, they're all coming: no surprises.
*I think the Rebel Transport will get a firing arc someday.

While the ultimate conclusion is correct, the precedent set by most wanted states you ONLY need
The correct cardboard base
The proper pilot card
The dial can be imperial; the model can be standard imp blue/gray
So if you have the base core set, you only need two rebel to fly all four pilots at once
If I didn't have to buy six, I'd probably play an Imperial TIE Swarm with all yellow TIE Fighters. Totally legal.
Al Hail the TIE-Bananas of Yellow Squadron.

There's nothing in the article that points to this, what do you base this on?

I see the article says "... a condition that you can use to reduce your opponent's firepower". The condition card looks like it might say SURPRISE. But where did you get "undetected" from?
