I'd like to see Shara Bey, Hera, Pash Crakcen and General Crispin in the A-wings.

Crispin should be printed with an auillary rear fire arc like discussed on another thread since he was one ofthe pilots to actually use his cannons in the rear position several times in the source material. (the Wraith Swquadron books) Which took a lot of skill to do, in those books so wasnt ever recommended to regular pilots. I'd say he'd be about a 7 ps.

Pash should be about an 7 or 8 ps too, and I'm not sure what I'd make his ability, something pretty useful, and maybe a evade token assigend to him if he gets stressed k(ind of like Soontir) or something.

The pivoting laser cannons are apparently canon now, from the Star Wars Databank:

How about an A-wing prototype with a 2/3/2/1 stat line at 12 points, same dial, and a new 0-point Chardaan Refit that has a 3/3/2/3 stat line for the original point value? I think the former balances fine; the latter is probably a little too cheap.

I'd definitely like to see a rear arc or similar application of the pivoting cannons.

Going by the Concord Dawn episode, Hera should have a pilot ability of "when stressed you can still perform a boost action, additionaly an A wing at range 1-2 with a lower pilot skill may immediately perform 1 free action"

although giving her the pilot ability on the attach shuttle or VCX wouldn't be overpowered

Did you see how pathetic phoenix squadron is? And how poorly hera did in an A? No, no thank you. It was basically the stormtrooper's of the rebels, to give a feeling of lose on the rebel side.

Only the episode where they got wiped out by Darth Vader; but I have issues with that. I still want to try 8 or 12 prototype pilots vs a fully tooled up Vader in the TIE Advanced.

Regardless of how Hera did in the series, in game she'd be a PS 7 with EPT (or two) and the ability to switch any green to any other green using the A-wing dial.

And against the mandos, and on a escort mission, and etc etc. It happened a lot.

Well, I'm not sure Han would be as great of a pilot in a ship he doesn't fly often. Hera's best in the Ghost and Phantom and pretty good in a B-wing, not the A-wing.

I don't recall her being bad in an A-wing. But she was up against Fenn Rau, who's just plain better.

We know episode 8 will have a new version of A-wing. Hopefully 8 or 9 will also have the "B-wing Mark II" that the Resistance transport was derived from. And also hopefully the Resistance will get something that's not descended from an OT fighter at all. Even if it follows the "letter-wing" pattern that the Rebels loved so much, there's plenty of unused letters to go with.

I don't play rebels. Anything that makes for more variety on the tabletop is amazing in my book though. New ships or updates to oldies from a reliant source? Absolutely make it happen!

The B-wing wasn't actually designed to look like a B at all. It's just a coincidence that it kinda-sorta looks a B from the side. It would've been called T-wing if the name were based on the most obvious letter it looks like.

I'd be shocked if the Episode 8 A-wing doesn't get a new model, since it's clearly going to be to the existing A-wing what the T-70 X-wing is to the original X-wing.

Anyway, as has been pointed out, we can do this with existing tools. Here's my attempt using Rebels screen captures:

As tempting as it is to use the exploding A-wing picture along with PS 0 and "die when looked at funny" for the Phoenix Squadron Pilot, I decided to be a bit more serious about it. I've made the Phoenix Squadron Pilot the same as a Prototype pilot but added a squad leader title that can be used to boost them to make them distinct from Prototype pilots.

The leader title is a rough idea and will need work to balance and improve it.

I didn't intend to actually create cards for this, just wanted to see if there was interest should FFG release such a thing. Oh well. Still, it's got me re-started on my own set of A-wing upgrades using legends material.

The Rebels A-Wings are slightly different (check out the back of the engines), potential for a variation like Poe's X-Wing and the new Falcon.
