Lost my play group today

By tenchi2a, in Star Wars: Armada

There is no one within an hour of me that plays this game. I play some on vassal on we have started up some xwing in my area. now i'm going to try to bring one of those guys over into armada. I have limited time with 2 kids and 3 jobs, but I still don't think I will be parting with my collection. It is ........my precioussssss!

well after looking at my finances and realizing I still like this game I may just sit on my stuff till I can find a group

This is the most well-reasoned, Logical decision I have seen in regards to your scenario. Good on you for keeping the faith. See if you can get a community together to play casually. You don't always need to Rhymer :-)

The Lord of Tubs would recommend you and your buddy swap forces for a lil bit so he can come to the understanding that it may be his understanding of the game that is lopsided, and not the factions.

That being said, the Empire does have a couple toys that can create Faction-Envy. Major Rhymer and Demolisher come to mind.

He was more concerned with Motti and "Mauler" Mithel.

He never got to see what Rhymer and the Demolisher could do.

That is a lot of reactions of new players. Armada is a harsh and brutal game at the best of times and as such it can be devastating until people figure out that the Imperials are Squadron synergistic with some bruiser ships and the Rebels are Muhammad Ali style of ships. Quick and darting at times but can take a hit or two usually

One of my recommandation is, you should decide your side (Rebel or Imp) by a flip.

This way, you will go for two thing's : First; you will have the chance to discover how to use both side for your gameplay. Second; You will keep trying some fleet combo.

The redundancy can kill even the best games. ;)
