Lost my play group today

By tenchi2a, in Star Wars: Armada

So my ex-friend who was my main opponent and my ride for games just quit playing today.

he claims the game is gear in favor of the Imperial and rebels can win -_-

so as of this time and for the foreseeable future I have no way to play. :(

that said I will be selling my collection and wanted to see if anyone here on the site wants first crack at it before it goes up on ebay

Its all Imperial

core set missing rebel ship and cards

12x TIE/LN from core set

3X VSD (2 from his and my started, 1 from booster)

2x ISD

1x Gladiator

1x Raider

2x Imperial fighter packs

Imperial side of the rogues and villains pack

2x Star Wars Armada X17 Upgrade Promo Card Alt Art, Summer 2016 OP Kit
3x Star Wars Armada Upgrade Card Leading Shots - Alt art promotional card

Wait. . .what! The rebels cant win? I never got that memo >.>

Sorry to hear that you lost your main opponent, there is no one else to play?

Tell your friend, from all of us, that he's just bad at the game. If he was less bad, he'd be winning with Rebels like the rest of us! Good luck selling your stuff.

he was my ride to I live in a city and the gaming store is on the other side of it.

so no don't have anyone to play

That sucks. Hold onto your collection for just a bit, they might change their minds with the new options coming out.

not really an option

it was fine when I had a weekly game to call it part of my entertainment budget.

but as a collage student with student loans as my only income

minis sitting on my shelf are a waste of money I can use for other things :(

and since everyone here has been so welcoming and helpful felt (and putting up with me lol)only right to give you guys first crack at it

will not be leaving entirely

still play the Star Wars RPG so will still be on the forums.

Which city? Someone may be willing to help!

las vegas

It's funny because in the Bay Area very few people play Empire. It's mostly Rebels, because that's the most interesting side to play. And it's not always fun when someone's constantly running a Demolisher list. It's kind of like the days of Ackbar, when it was nigh impossible to out-fight it with an Imperial gunline.

Sucks that it had to blowout your friendship too. I have a friend who I made while we were playing Armada but he's also pretty burned out on the game from our last regional tournament. He hasn't sold his stuff, and I hope he'll return some day, but I honestly can't blame him wanting a break when X-Wing knocked me out in the past (Stupid green dice).

Yeah, locally here we have a few players that bemoan the rebellion as being too powerful.

Oddly, shmitty and I are main Rebel Players.

Was that his first game?

nope and we have discussed the mod rule multiple time

You have your head on your shoulders. Dont quit on us yet! You could build a group in your area!

Having lived in Vegas for 10 years I find that hard to believe That you couldn't find any armada players at a game store near you. I've never lived in a city with more game stores than Vegas. Little Shop (south side), Battlezone (north side) are on opposite sides of the city and both have regulars that play armada.

PM me if you want the names of people that play at either.

I guess I shouldn't assume... You meant Las Vegas, Nevada, not Las Vegas, New Mexico right?

:)

I don't have a car

live in north Vegas across from craig ranch park

have limited funds

and not up for transporting all my stuff on the bus to get there

have had issues with battlezone in the past so I prefer Little shop

and Meepleville Board Game Cafe tried to charge me $5 to watch a game

The Vegas gaming scene also loves it's drama. So I can sympathize with wanting to play at specific shops. If you go to UNLV I know they have gaming clubs that you may want to look into.

Personally, usually you'll only get a fraction of what you actually paid for them, so I'd keep them. You never know what the future holds. Best of luck to you.

CSN: go starving Wolves

AAS CIT Networking :)

So anyway going to be putting all my stuff up on ebay for around $230+ S&H

PM if you're interested or get it on ebay starting Monday

P.S. if you live in the Las Vegas area and are looking for a Star Wars RPG game I still have sets

Bummer, I'll be in Vegas come September for a week. Be more than happy to pack a fleet to get in some games.

well after looking at my finances and realizing I still like this game I may just sit on my stuff till I can find a group

Sucks about losing your friends, but no for sale posts here
