But Seriously, why is Sabine Everywhere?

By Gibbilo, in X-Wing

 REB%2BSABINE.PNG

Second rebel aces pack is going to be Poe and Wedge in TIEs. Next rebel epic will come packaged with Han Chewie and Leia in the shuttle Tyderian.

I approve of this message. (crew - Luke Skywalker also)

Maybe because she has no ship that she calls her own?

well, the Tie is literally "sabine's masterpiece"

(even if she did steal it)

Yeah but it's her piece of Art, like she could have made a whole gallerie of them.

It is not her fighter in a sense that it is part of her character, like Lukes X-Wing, Hans Falcon or Fetts Slave One

Sabine is all over the place just to piss nerds off.

Tie Fighter: Sabine Flies Them and Sometimes Other Things Miniatures Game

I'm super excited for the "Sabine's Tie Pretending to be an Imperial Tie" expansion. And then after that, the "Sabine's Tie When She Was a Mercenary" is next I hear. Think the releases are a bit backwards, but that's just me. The Sabine imperial crew is really interesting too. I've heard rumors she's getting her own faction. Surprised it took this long tbh.

I hope we get Poe's tie. A tie S/F with title that makes all red manuvers green and ads a 5 forward, with free extra boost if used.... Yeah that is sarcasem and how Sabines wet fan expansion feels to me. At least I will save some money for once.

I think the big difference here is that this is a ship that has shown up in multiple episodes of the TV show. It's not a ship that was briefly used by a Rebel character, it's a ship that is repeatedly used by a Rebel character and is identifiable as the ship that she flies.

Unless I missed an episode or two, it appeared in Rebels twice: first it was stolen by Zeb, Kanan ordered him and Ezra to get rid of it but they hid it, it was still in a standard grey camo. Then, a few episodes later, in the season finale, they needed a way to infiltrate a Star Destroyer, so they told Hera about it. Rebels somehow remote controlled it into the hangar bay of a star destroyer loaded with EMP bombs and later Hera used it to escape said Star Destroyer.

Side note: Kanan and Ezra used Inquisitor's TIE tin the same episode, can't wait for TIE/v1 with a crew slot!

I don't remember it appearing in any of the later sories.

A quick sumary:

- it appeared twice, it got most of the screentime as "Zeb's stolen TIE" before Sabine even touched it;

- after the repaint it appeared in one episode, briefly;

- two people piloted it, Zeb and Hera, only one of them is in the expansion;

Bonus round, a list of Imperial ships Rebels used in the show so far:

- Zeb's TIE (Zeb, Hera)

- Inquisitor's TIE (Kanan, Chopper)

- TIE Bomber/Shuttle (Hera)

- Gozanti

Following this logic, you should have never started playing, considering x-wings get plenty of barrel rolls on screen.

You mean to tell me, that the toys that uses characters from a children's show based on the movie franchise notorious for pandering to children may be in fact, pandering to children?

It's like no one here has ever heard of Star Wars.

Yeah but it's her piece of Art, like she could have made a whole gallerie of them.

Stolen FO and SF confirmed

and ofc Sabine is a pilot in both

Wha... what?

I pointed out to a guy who said: "It's not a ship that was briefly used by a Rebel character, it's a ship that is repeatedly used by a Rebel character and is identifiable as the ship that she flies." that it is a ship that was used briefly by a Rebel character, was not repeatedly used by any of the Rebel characters and is not identifiable as a ship Sabine flies as she has never flown it, where did you get anything about kid's show?

Maybe because she has no ship that she calls her own?

Well technically she did not steal it.

of course, basically EVERY imperial ship gets stolen at some point...

By Sabine...

With a wicked paintjob...

Cuz she's hot, young, and Mandalorian.

And tags stuff with spray paint and blows things up. What's not to like?

The X-wings were just showing off for the camera since Aileron rolls are mostly for flight shows (And for use in more complex Aerial maneuvers including the barrel roll).

I've only seen a few episodes and I recognized it when I saw it. I might have been wrong about the frequency that it shows up but that TIE is a recognizeable as Sabine's TIE to people that watch the show as the black and orange X-Wing is to people that have seen TFA.

I'd like to see more pilots in ships that they are associated with and I see the Sabine proliferation as a sign that it may happen.

I'd like to see Corran and Fel in T-65s, Vader in an ETA-2 Interceptor, and Norra Wexley in the Y-Wing she flew in RotJ.

They're. Aileron. Rolls. For the hundredth time. Barrel rolls never actually appear on screen to my knowledge, actually. (Note: My exasperation above is exaggerated for comedic effect)

The X-wings were just showing off for the camera since Aileron rolls are mostly for flight shows (And for use in more complex Aerial maneuvers including the barrel roll).

Is it an aileron roll if the vehicle doesn't have ailerons?

Star Wars Space Battles are WWII Dogfights IN SPACE! So in that sense they are, at least.

There are several Sabines because for three waves in a row we get ships associated with Sabine.

Most people would have recognized a Lambda painted in this pattern as Sabine's even if it didn't appear in the show and was completely made up by FFG.

She's a popular character with a demographic that FFG isn't currently selling a lot of product to.

Tumblr?

No, the girls (and women) that can give two ***** about princesses and are finally starting to get some badass female action heroes that aren't butch or someone's love interest showing up in pop-culture. They play board games and video games and FFG would like them to play miniatures games.

If I understand you correctly: Rebel Lambda with an alternate paint job is confirmed for Wave 11?

That's a shame. I don't think it really adds anything to the show. I haven't watched the entire series but I didn't pick up on the Sabine and Ezra thing. It seemed like the Hera and Kanan relationship was just hinted at.

It really bugged me that in the recent Scooby Doo series they had Fred and Daphne dating and Shaggy and Velma dating. They were also running into actual supernatural occurances. Why couldn't they have all just stayed friends that pulled monster masks off of criminals.

^I don't really see Sabine as badass, tho

She's more like, idk, a caricature of what teenage boys think of as badass, not girls. Heck, I wouldn't have been amused as a teenager, but then I wouldn't have predicted Twilight being popular either.

So glad I'm out of that demographic.
