Wave five has confirmed it for me, FFG seem to be managing armada far better that xwing. Every wave in armada just makes all the ships more fun to play and increases the diversity of tactics and builds. I never know what I will face at armada comps. I believe waves 3,4 and 5 will just increase the diversity massively.

I've stopped playing xwing because I'm fed up with having to put old ships on the shelf every time a new wave comes out and a couple of builds become dominant, it's just not fun like armada is.

Not saying xwing is not a great game, it's just the expansions don't seem to have been as well thought out as in armada.

Exactly the same thing: that old ships and most concepts will see some viability. So many different things and ways you can do things and still be competitive tier 1.

Xwing has been balanced extremely poorly in the last 3 waves. 7 8 9.

What I really like about Armada is...

...that it's a big ship focused game where the big ships feel like big ships!
