Backwards moves and conditions. The hope of a rebel shuttle Tyderium.
The real meat of this wave will be the U wing and TIE Striker.

you're missing what is known as "the game part of the ******* game"
such as
"At the end of the activation phase, you must assign a tractor beam token to each ship you are touching"
on a ship that can barrel-roll
and hold an int agent
AND GO BACKWARDS
also what looks like a Quad-jump only mod/title that's ACTION: slap a t-beam token on a ship in your firing arc

In a faction that will have the ability for tractor beam tokens to remain from round to round...
So, is the Int agent a better choice than Ketsu Onyo? Or will you just have Ketsu as crew on the ship doing the killing?

int agent is better specifically on the pilot whose ability is completely dependent on having ships in base-2-base contact

The interesting thing about the action assigning the tractor beam token will be ruining someones day before they even reveal their dial.
Will the perfect storm be action tractor beaming them so that they're going to bump you, especially if you couldn't barrel roll into their way?
Yeah, sorry, nothing about this wave screams buy me.
Sabine's TIE is cool looking but I've got to admit I have issues with the idea of fielding it with some X-Wings. Maybe if it really fills a gap alongside the Ghost?
Kylo's shuttle also looks cool. But did Palp really need another ride? The teen angst batman wannabe holds 0% interest for me. Regardless of his new rule mechanic, I can't stand the twerp.
And the Quadjumper is just another S&V toy I'll never fly. Pass.
This wave is purely lip service to the Mouse Overlords. Nothing exciting or meta changing. Just more models to put on the wall and fill SKUs.
I got issue with the "conditions" because to me it looks like the game is slipping towards star trek for sake this is STAR WARS so please more pew pew less conditioning objectives

Did you feel that way about Kallus?
nope he is regular crew not some condition

I think once you add in a dozen or more lingering Kallus-like effects people are going to start missing stuff. The problem isn't conditions in a Star Wars game. They work GREAT in Imperial Assault and they were pretty good in the old Saga Edition RPG. The problem is they are shoehorned in after 50+ expansions to the game and thereby really over complicate the rules, when those effects could have just been handled on card text in a much more simple way.
That 0 point EPT looks like it puts a condition on a ship, the ship with the EPT gets a bonus against the ship with the condition, the ship with the condition gets a bonus against the ship with the EPT.
It similar than Kallus but it's also more complex. I keep seeing people that insist that this and the Kylo Ren condition could have have just been done the way X-Wing has done effects in the past but I don't think that would have worked very well.
The Rebel TIE should have just been cards and cardboard included in the Ghost pack.
Nope. I want the paint job.

Exactly.
The TIE is for fun. It's in the lore. It can be the center of a lot of fun "storytelling" battles.
The shuttle introduces and entirely new game mechanic with Condition Cards. Again, a great way to feature a small amount of "storytelling" to battles instead of just making them death matches. I hope they run with this.
If the quadjumper introduces new movements, that's cool as well.
Mayhaps everyone is peeved because this is the first wave that is "just for fun" and introduces some quirky new ideas to the game.
Wave 1: Advanced sucks, Vader is unusable
Wave 2: Firespray sucks, Fett is unusable
Wave 3: what the hell is this HWK thing?
Wave 4: well, they ran out of movie ships, the game sucks now
Wave 5: Turrets ahoy! Game is broken beyond hope now
Wave 6: what is this scum crap? We don't need two rebel factions
Wave 7: egg carton vs ugliest-wing.
Wave 8: all these ships are too cool, but the Misthunter isn't as cool as the rest
Wave 9: get yer prequel **** outta my game!
Wave 10: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! It's a joke, right?
Cause we always have to have something to complain about.
Mayhaps everyone is peeved because this is the first wave that is "just for fun" and introduces some quirky new ideas to the game.
Nope. Some of us just aren't interested in stuff from Rebels or TFA. Some don't like how complicated the game is becoming. Some have been waiting for other ships for years now and must continue to wait longer. Those are the reasons people don't like wave 10, not because there are fun new quirky ideas.
Wave 10 is not meta changing, but it does add significant options.
I am dreading flying against Palpatine in the Upsilon. I think the PS2 will be 29 points & it will have white 3-turns.
4-attack, title that gives stress, co-ordinate action, more hitpoints
Quadhopper potentially finally gives Scum a worthwhile ship build in the 16-23 point range. I thought Fang fighter might do that, but all the generics are way overpriced. It depends on whether the PS1 hopper is 14 or 15 points. 14 would be correct. Ships in this range are incredibly sensitive to price and 1 point matters a whole lot. Even the generic Syck would be a viable blocker if it was 1 point cheaper.
Sabine in a tie fighter with EPT at 15 points is clearly the best 15 point ship in the game.

I like the wave, everything seems to have a use, I'm loving the quad jumper, the only problem k think I'm going to have is making lists now that are just the "support" ships with no real ability to do damage as messing with my opponent is always fun
This Wave has Bo'Shek in it as a crew card and gives me high hopes he will be a pilot card along the line! I am pumped!
Conditions are the worst. *If* you're in range 1, get a focus token. **** conditional rules. *If* you receive a number of damage cards equal or greater than your hull value, you are destroyed. What? Effin' math AND I have to keep up with cards on a sideboard!?! What is this game, MtG?

Best get out of the game then. No more EU for the forseeable future.
Personally, I like this wave. As arebels player, I loke the role of cheapish ace that the Tie can fill and I don't think we've been as overshadowed as we did in 8 and 9.

You could try Chinese checkers. Use red marbles for the Rebels and blue ones for Empire. No math, no side board.

I'd wait until we have more than 3 pilots and a handful of upgrades spoiled before making that declaration.

Well, they've created all the ships from the original movies and the old computer game, so I guess if you don't want to see ships from the active parts of the license, you're done.
Similarly, if you don't want the game to grow, you're done.
And if your favorite ship isn't out yet, let the Force teach you patience. Several ships I'd like to see aren't in Wave 10, but I'm still happy to see 3 more options hit the table.
Except wave 4 and 6 are currently ranked the highest on the "rate the waves" thread and most anti-EU here is from a vocal minority.Wave 1: Advanced sucks, Vader is unusable
Wave 2: Firespray sucks, Fett is unusable

Um, did you read my post? It was about the complaints in all waves and how there's always a vocal minority that complains. My favorite is probably 6 because it did introduce the missing third faction and gave increased functionality and options to 4 previously released models.
Despite the shuttle looking decent (although to small). I lost interest when they used fearsome and Kylo Ren in the same sentence. Then when his ability wasn't labeled " Temper Tantrum" I was like, they aren't keeping with the flavor of the original source material. But on a more serious note ¿ Don't be adding to many new game mechanics to quickly. When parents have spent a good deal of money to play a game with there children and there kids loose interest because it became to difficult to follow.... Well it's not a recipe for success
Edited by ozmodonman people are really enjoying making a big deal out of conditions
guys, it's ONE new (sorta) game mechanic (which is in reality little different than currently existing condition tokens, ie ion and tbeams, which come with a token and cards explaining their abilities) in a wave full of ships with a simple, single firing arc
unless going backwards and a built-in squad leader that isn't complete **** are so mind boggling compared to an entirely new firing arc system that we just got pre-released (shadow caster)
