The Rebel TIE

By Sir Orrin, in X-Wing

So the Empire cannot receive any small ship that isn't a TIE because apparently that would dilute their identity, but they will freely hand out a TIE to the damned rebel terrorists?!?

Let's just say that as an Imperial player, the last several waves have been garbage. The only good expansion we've gotten has been Imperial Vets.

oh right

I forgot how nobody used the inquisitor ever

The Inquisitor is the one exception. The other pilots aren't any good, but the Inquisitor is great. Does one good pilot and three duds make an expansion good though?

Yeah, you clearly haven't flown the other V1s. I love Rudor.

Rudor is fun. A PTL or Juke Baron is value, and a Sienar swarm with Prockets and Chips is actually terrifying vs large ships.

So yeah, not a dud. Workman/tools/excuses etc.

It really hurts that they got a tie at all... But they got a better tie fighter with that combo of PS, ability, EPT, and title. The rebels have a better tie fighter than the imperials.

I'll happily trade Sabine's TIE for Howlrunner and some Black Squadron Pilots.

It seems like it's going to be a glass container for a illicit and crew for the rebellion.

Sabine with VI, Title, EI, Saboteur, and BMST. 23 points of damage card inflictin' and flippin' goodness. :)

ficklegreendice I choose you! Tear Saboteur apart. :P

Shame we're now at the point where people are crying over every single wave because they need to see a certain ship right now (No, not that one! The other one! **** you FFG!!!!).

It's a wave, we'll figure it out.

We haven't seen W9 in motion yet and we're still getting Heroes of the Resistance before that.

And hey - more Tech slot upgrades won't hurt.

I'm sure if you suggested giving NATO T72s in a Cold War gaming forum, you'd receive a similar reaction.

But sure lets blame lazy design on fans of a ship.

OK now we have rebel tie is time for the yellow wing clipped mining guild tie fighter for scum ;)

She's the new Rebel Wampa, in that she's a dirt cheap ace that you arguably can't ignore. Sure, with no upgrades she's just an action efficient TIE, but throw on the title for some Slicer Tools and an Intel Agent, and hooooo boy... For a paltry 18 points, you have something that can screw with PTL aces.

Whether we see swarms of them will depend on what the other pilot abilities are.

Can't swarm though, all the pilots are unique.

Everything we have seen released for the rebels in the past couple of waves was expensive as hell. A new cheap filler option for rebels with tricks to set it apart from the imperial version is nice.

I'm sure the design team has new ships in store but if let's say the U-Wing fits in the 22+ point jouster bracket that's not the ship rebels need.

Everything you've just said could have been done without diluting faction identity and releasing a ship that's been released countless times already.

From what we can see on the EMP card it's a cheap blocker and a control piece for the rebels that doesn't replace Z-95s as the swarm ship or the A-Wing as the Crackswarm/Arcdodger ace ship.

But Sabine does fly a tie fighter in Rebels, and lots of people like that and actually I never even dreamed they would make Sabine's tie, but I love that they have. It's a shame they can't really restrict it to only one of the pilots a liSt. I guess they could have just made one pilot card, or made them all Sabine.

To be be fair, the Ghost, Assault Shuttle and Sabine's TIE would make a pretty sweet Rebels- only list.

Send it up against the Shadow Caster and supporting Fangs,or a Gozanti with TIEs and the Inquisitor...

Chaos.....   :o  :)

Mini-swarm, I meant. All four together with various upgrades would probably still leave enough room for a decent ace.

Rewatched the episode, Sabine has never actually piloted that fighter :D

I think Zeb did in one of the previous episodes and that's all.

I'd be on your side if they introduced any of the rebel pilots (Wedge?) in interceptors.

I'm salty as hell we get nothing but ties but rebels can get our ships it's BS.

Honestly? I'm surprised we haven't seen some stolen Imperial ships in the Rebel faction earlier. This is surprisingly harmless.

It's the same thing?

Giving a faction another factions ship because one pilot used it at least once (yet not habitually) is spurious reasoning. Might as well include an Imperial Falcon from A New Hope while we're at it.

Rebels have a wealth of ships they could use. Using another factions iconic ship is not the answer, especially when this game has seen countless TIE fighter releases.

Well, every faction had shared ships except between imperials and rebels so it's only natural.

Besides, the more rage it generates, the better.

Better this than Gunboat.

Looking forward to using it as a 20pt PITA.

Bit Sabine's TIE can!

Really though, I did want REALLY want the Upsilon in the game, but this condition thing is weird to add randomly.
