She's the new Rebel Wampa, in that she's a dirt cheap ace that you arguably can't ignore. Sure, with no upgrades she's just an action efficient TIE, but throw on the title for some Slicer Tools and an Intel Agent, and hooooo boy... For a paltry 18 points, you have something that can screw with PTL aces.

Whether we see swarms of them will depend on what the other pilot abilities are.

Probably more of a cheap ship to support proper tooled up aces.

The pilot choice seems pretty downright lazy considering that Wedge is showing up in the Season 3 trailer as a TIE Pilot along with two other Rebel TIE guys, but Ashoka never popped in one.

The Inquisitor is the one exception. The other pilots aren't any good, but the Inquisitor is great. Does one good pilot and three duds make an expansion good though?

Releases aren't announced the moment they're created. Development takes some time. And we found out about Wedge as a TIE pilot less than a month ago. FFG would've found out at the same time, after they'd already decided on a Sabine's TIE expansion. Besides, how many other opportunities were they going to get to add Ahsoka to the game? Had the Ghost expansion been released later, I'm sure she would've a crew option for it and maybe even a pilot for the Attack Shuttle. But it came too early for that, so anything they put Ahsoka in will be something she never actually flew on the show.

Besides, Wedge was never going to happen regardless. There was just never going to be a Rebel TIE pilot with PS9.

It really hurts that they got a tie at all... But they got a better tie fighter with that combo of PS, ability, EPT, and title. The rebels have a better tie fighter than the imperials.
