Not to mention how long we've been demanding X-Wings with Rogue.

The starter set is there to teach you the game, and FFG is here to make money so don't think it will ever happen.

Honestly though, I'm a little not as excited about the imperial ship being a rebels things. Watching star wars rebels is really not as ubiquitous as FFG/Disney might hope. I can't even get it since I have no cable/TV etc.

Like the Pelta-class frigate (Phoenix Home's design), it was in TCW before it was in Rebels.

Really though they have to have everything approved by the Mouse. Who I am sure prefers they use things currently found on screen.
FWIW, Rebels is a solid show and absolutely worth a purchase to watch.
Regarding the original post - my impression from interviews and talking with folks at GenCon is that FFG is doing their best to make Arnada the best game that they can. I've got a state of the game type post coming based on what I've learned here.

You're probably right here. It's probably got more to do with the sensible way of unfolding a game like this than them listening to what we ask for. Still, it's nice to dream though.

I know. Buuuut every time the players have started wish listing I've thought "sounds great, but we probably won't even hear about that till at least 2017 (or in the case of rogue X-Wings, ever)", only to have them go and announce it. Plus they do seem to be really making a go of this game. And with price being such a barrier to enter this game for many, it would make it more accessible. So we can hope?
I think they're not dumb. If they can translate successful X Wing material to Armada they'd be fools not to. And with a new movie every year, and at least one active TV show, they'll keep the content flowing.
I'm concerned on the endless new abilities and the recent rapid fire release schedule is going to destroy my wallet. But ultimately the game is still fun.

I think these bring much needed aspects of play to both sides though the Pelta's Fleet Command Upgrades will be what tells.

Its lack of ubiquity isn't stopping these ships from being awesome, or looking cool. I watch Rebels through Amazon Prime. I buy each season and it has been a great show for me.

I've been waiting for the Assault Frigate mk1 since they first introduced the AssFrig2, so Armada taking a detour into Rebels and giving us those ugly EU fighters isn't exactly giving me everything I've been asking for.
I'm glad everyone else is excited about wave 5, I guess I'll just be happy to save money on it, and not having to complain about waiting for it.
