He will probably have a black die and gets another if you forsake his brutality...like the ability says
All I see is you may add 1 black die and something about nonsentient.

Based on your reaction gif, I'm assuming you're painting a maid outfit on your rancor
Okay, now I know how to neuter its fear in a campaign, or maybe make it worse, all I need to do is assign it some anime archetypes.
"Its not like I'm trying to eat you because I like you, idiot!" *Rancor says while looking away with a pout and blushed cheeks*
So rancor is a tsundere? If the set comes with two (unlikely I admit) the I'm totally going to give one the anime treatment. And no one will understand.
And when the heroes inevitably spurn her advances...they'd better watch out!
I think at that point the rancor might be a yandere.
Not to mention her Eva has a beast mode.

I think given Massive + Reach + Brutality + Cleave is pretty bonkers - he must have something like speed 3 or 4, and he'll either have to have middling health and a black die, or zero defense and a ton of health - around 21-25.
Attack is probably RR, or RG?
Trying to fill in the blanks for the Trained ability - I'm wondering if he gets his defense buffed for certain adjacent figures... "at the start of each ... may add 1 black die ... during this round ... and Non - Sentient ... "
I think he might be slow, have a ton of health, no defense die, but gets a die if adjacent to Non Sentient and maybe something else?

I think it's a semi-copy of the Beast Tamer Skirmish Upgrade. Something like: "At the start of each round, you may add one black die to your defense pool. If you do, ignore the 'Brutality' and 'Non-Sentient' keywords this round."
Really hope the cost is right because this thing could be nuts, and I'd love that! Activate him last, have him focused with Jabba already. Beast Tamer him in, Brutality with focus, Reach, Massive, and Cleave. Activate him first, Brutality again, then Beast Tamer him out of dodge before he takes too many hits.

Oh, I know, but it also matters what we can't see: speed, defense, attack, hit points.
Those abilities are bonkers but won't mean much if the chassis is too expensive. New Luke will have that problem, I feel.

Speed and Health, I think the defense is black, with a chance to add a black die if you forgo brutality.
I could see red/red/green, but that may make him too powerful.
At 10 points? I'm pretty sure there won't be any defense die except the one you get by possibly sacrificing another ability. Otherwise you have something almost more powerful than Vader at half the cost...

True but remember he's massive which comes with a couple of downsides: awkward and slow, and everyone had los on you so you're not just a big target, but an easy one

Massive doesn't require awkward, awkward is it's own trait separately. Otherwise what point would there be to having a Massive melee unit (even though he has reach).
Did anybody else notice that the card in the preview is a skirmish card? I wonder what changes between the skirmish and campaign version?

Yes. I assume it'll be Trained that gets replaced. Since Non-sentient isn't a big deal in campaign. Perhaps he'll just have a built in Black die defense or get a HP boost so he doesn't die in 1 turn from the heroes.

I believe Lowercase meant it's awkward to move and manuever around the board with that big base, not necessarily the Awkward rule.
He should have something that says if he doesn't have Malakili or somebody like him nearby then you lose control of him. Where is Malakili anyway?!

Never mind him! Where's Bib Fortuna?

Indeed, I was wandering bout him earlier today. Seems crazy to have a campaign in Jabba's place without him doesn't it?

Correct. 5 speed in a massive figure doesn't get you nearly so far add with a small figure, only you're traveling down a straight path

Even crazier is that we'll have Jabba's palace without Jabba ! Atleast he has a figure pack. I'm guessing we'll get a Bib Fortuna figure somewhere down the line.

I don't think Malakili's coming at all.

Can't be too awkward when you can just walk over everything/everyone.

If there were more open spaces and straightaways you would be right
