Missing SKU: Place your bets for what SWX58 will be!

By PaulTiberius, in X-Wing

Plus core sets are the best bang for your buck so not sure why people wouldn't want a new one.

Assuming you play Rebels and the Empire AND need/want twice as many Imperial ships

And you want even more basic tokens, the same maneuver templates, the same range rulers, same dice, same asteroids, not to mention a third damage deck that NO ONE asked for or needed. If the deck is the same there are 0 reasons an established player would buy this thing outside the ocd of having new ships on force friday. I gurantee I won't buy one, fell for that crap last year. A core set a year is really not needed and I would be really surprised if doing that brings in many players that just don't buy the core and quit. Everyone that defends it says it has to be that way to sell to Target. Is target really that important to xwing? Was it profitable to either company to force this strategy?

A core set is about thirty bucks, and comes with three ships. Expansions cost 15, so you save 15 bucks and if it bothers you so much throw the extra stuff out.

Using the highest possible price for expansions and lowest for the core set the math indeed adds up nicely.

Core set costs 40$, expansions 15$, so you "save" 5$, if you don't play the empire you pay 40$ for one ship, if you don't play Rebels it's 20$ per ship.

EDIT typo

It will be the black and white striped X-Wing from the Rogue One set pictures along with a minor tweak that still leaves the T-65 on the shelf.

Because it's still a mystery, despite being a SKU in development prior to the already-announced Wave X ships, I believe this to be related to Rogue One.

The movie does prominently feature bounty hunters, albeit working for rebels, so there is a possibility for a scum-faction epic or aces.

There's a possibility of a new Core set with a newly colored X-Wing with its fix and two TIE Strikers, with higher-numbered SKUs announced along side for the individual Striker, U-Wing, and Scum expansions.

Each time you perform a volley you take a stress token to perform another volley!

This is all I think about now.

Screw X-Wing 2.0 (and revisionists) I want Xtreme Beach Volleyball! Poe in a bikini? Yes please!

Hopefully Rouge Squadron pack were you get a title that grans S-foil. I wanna shout Lock S-foil in attack position **** it. Also a personal title to Luke. When you roll 2 blank dices, use the force to reroll them.

Maybe a Rouge One boxed set, but I highly doubt it will be a "core" style set. Next "core" style set is when they either go 2.0 or when they introduce the prequels. I highly doubt we will get a "core" per movie. that just doesn't make sense. Especially since Rouge One is primarily a ground assault style movie with atmo vehicles. Not saying we won't see the U and Striker as expansions, but I doubt they will be a "core"

No... I think we will get a "Rouge's" expansion... features a pair of T65 X-Wings and the highly awaited T65 fix. Bring back the X!

Would all the mini's in a Rouge expansion be painted red? :D

(Sorry, I know it's a common typo, I just couldn't resist!)

Escadron Rouge are the best!

Maybe the U-wing and the new T-65 will come in a packaged set.

Most Wanted 2: Electric Boogaloo

Most Wanted 2: Most Wanteder

Most Wanted 2: Want Harder

Most Wanted 2: More Most, More Wanted

Most Wanted 2: Dead or Alive, you're coming with me.

It Comes with Robocop. The 80's one of course, not that other crappy one.

**** that RoboCop remake sucked so badly, <sigh> they were on to a clever idea with the 'drone' theme and then just utterly messed it all up... Right back on topic:

Most Wanted 2: Left Wanting... contains the scum ships everyone wants, but same paint scheme and no buffs....

Most Wanted - 'Not really but people are still gonna buy this': 3 yellow TIEs

... That's the joke. "Left Wanting"

Speaking of mats, I suspect they will release one during Worlds that will be the Poster for Rogue One....the one with the Death Star.over the beach but the beach part will probably be cut out.

How about Rogue Squadron X-Wing Expansion Pack? Still a T-65 X-Wing, but includes pilots from Rogue One and some buffs for the classic X-Wing.

Been giving this no additional thought but I do believe this is going to be the Scum Huge ship and it will bring with it more amazing crew options that Scum simply don't need as well as a Syck painted into the Tansanarri (or however you spell it) point colours.

Syck will have two titles and a new Cannon that actually makes you consider using it over the Fang, Headhunters and Khiraxz.

Probably because as mach as you and others, may want it to be a scum epic, it is instead something they cant release from Rogue One til September 30th.

September 30th - 37days away from finding out that we are getting the Uwing and Tie Striker (and hopefully some sort of T-65 Xwing Rogue One release with a good title for it!!!).

There will be no further aide for your feeble T-65's.

Why didnt they preview it at Gencon then for the extra hype?

I hear ya, but it is only a single SKU, I would expect the Rogue One tie in to at least be two ships, just like the Force Awakens.

Scum ship makes sense.

Rogue one starter set, right? Cause we need a new damage deck, that will be the only legal damage deck, until it is not.
