Hold Your Breath and Count to [Wave 10]

By AugustineS, in X-Wing

Wow, so few generic pilots this upcoming wave. Only a PS2 generic on the shuttle and a PS1 generic on the Quadjumper, all the rest are unique pilots.

Maybe they are getting the picture that mid PS generics are in a dead space and are electing for more uniques instead.

If you're not making an Uber jouster, why bother with generics?

You'd need an incredible upgrade bar to make them standout

And that's how the contracted scout was born :P

Ahsoka and sabines pilot skills are backwards in the OP. Sabines the 5, ahsoka's the 7

Horrors of copypaste, fixed.

(Ahsoka's still awful tho)

Was kind of hoping for a Captain Phasma crew with the Upsilon. Maybe saving her for Ep. 8?

The quad jumper looks hilarious

And cheap enough to be a dedicated 'support' ship in ways the HWK never quite manages

Is it really a medium blister, though? I love the cards, but if there ever was a more packaging friendly ship in star wars I don't think I've seen it...

we already have captain phasma, but she's hiding under an alias after her shameful performance at Starkiller base

observe

QuickDraw

you dial back QD by one letter in the alphabet and you get PC

flip it around and you get CP

"QuickDraw" is Captain Phasma

ishe's even described as female in the article!

<3 QuadJumper. First ship to have a 1k turn?

Some sort of reverse move if the reference card is any indication, I'm guessing faster Segnors as well (though why it has the ref card when the maneuver was integrated into core rules idk).

Should at least have 1-turns if there's only the one reverse manuever at that speed.

And it has a crew slot for IG88. Too bad that's the one you might have been able to do 3 turn sloops if the crew wasn't 88D already :(

So i want to be sure I'm straight on Rens' condition. He searches his own players' damage deck correct? Seems like this could get a little messy keeping up with cards but I like the added benefit of curating your damage deck to avoid the worst pilot crits.

Also hopefully this isn't too abused by slow play.

I am convinced that the 'A Debt to Pay' condition has almost identical text to the A Score to Settle EPT.

It makes sense, as it's free. You choose a target that you'll get a bonus against, but they get the same bonus against you.

I can't wait for Sabine's Tie!!! I wanted to do a repaint and make up my own rules like some others here have, but painting is hard lol. The shuttle looks amazing, I'll hold judgement of the condition card for gameplay. Also, the quad jumper is awesome glad they brought a ship I actually heard about and not something from a video game or book from before I was born.

Eh...I don't see anyone swarming with quads

They're garbage Ito efficiency; the tie Bomber kicks their ass and even it loses to the academy tie

No, the quad is a scum ship through and through; you gotta be a sneaky bastard and fight dirty to come out ahead

Ie plutts stupidly cool ability

Well, I have swarmed Scyks. I cannot imagine these could be worse.

Updated as best I could for Rogue One ships, I'm a bit rushed though so there might be typo(e)s.

The unknown PS striker is 5. The number has a flat top, which is only 5 or 7, and theyre always arranged in ascending order so theres no way its 7.

Meaning its probably a third unique pilot, given a +1 PS jump from the black squad.

Rebels don't get generics anymore :P/:)

Bat shuttle cool. Emo kid... not so much.

TIE punisher love child? Sean Pegg's father is deathrain?

Except for the Blue Squadron not a B-wing pilot.

You're probably right, I just didn't have time to check if it was an odd layout for a 6-pilot ship (i.e. whether they were having to hide pilot name for spoiler reasons).

The unique dot's visible anyway.

hmm so it is.

Welp definitely a third pilot then lol.

Wonder why some ships are getting 6 cards these days. With the exception of the contracted scout and academy/black tie fighter its not like generics ever get used lol.

1/3/4 generics have been standard for 'simple' TIES (LN/IN/FO) for ages at least.

Hmm, I might have seen that in the core set....makes that a tradition that's as old as the hills.

Assuming Zeb is 13pts and it's got the usual TIE dial, first Wave 10 expansion is completely spoiled!

Upsilon shuttle upsilondated. =]

We technically know that the TIE Striker has a Segnor's Loop as it comes with that reference card about it. We just don't know if it's a 2 or 3....OR A 1!!!!.....

Always, except for the Quadjumper and Sabine's TIE...

How is 'Captured Tie' going to work in blue-on-blue engagements... I mean if anything, it's going to be the first thing they shoot at!
