REN-BAT... WE HAVE GLORIOUSE GOREINESS REN-BAT!!!
C'mon, the new toys are exciting, but this amount of powercreep is just tasteless...

The Batshuttle will not replace the OGP, as its increase cost will limit which 2-3 accompanying ships you may carry. Some will still prefer the cost effectiveness of the OGP or Yorr over shaving upgrades off of their aces. OGP will still be the prefered Palpmobile for many.
Also, any hints on the Action icon present on this picture?:
If you don't even recognize one of the most common actions for Epic ships...why are you critiquing game balance?
(Its coordinate btw)
Didn't it strike anyone as stupid powerful compared to Lothal?

{{BATREN}}
Feels more like Spawn...
Yeah, I could see that too.

Everthing JBRS posts in this thread. [End Quote] Thank you all for reading my opinion.
Uh Oh... Kylo my misguided young Knight... you have been having to much fun recently... Dunt-Daa!!!

Is wrong to be one of the few Star Brahs that actually understood Ren and totally likes his story and such?
He is going to be even more important and way better in E8...

It's like watching the brain damage my ex had over him manifest itself. I think SJWs call this being triggered.
Ugh. I can literally hear Cassandra Penteghast sayung Ugh over and over again now.

I see him more like The Crow or Hamlet... kinda.

You and me both my friend. I love the character and I'm sick of the hate. His instability and immaturity made him MORE interesting to me. Enormous power without control, without maturity. Terrifying! Can't wait to learn more about him in episode 8.

It's just they guys that are not in touch with their whole selves. Jock-O-He-Men hated Adam because of that gurl-date-show...

I recently (this week) looked at Han from New Hope and Kylo looks dam-near exactly like him... he is absolutely cool as Ben Solo for my $$$!

I don't much like Ren, but I do like his story (if that makes any sense). His tale just seems so tragic, in that he's a troubled youth wrestling with his decisions, and when he finally has a chance to redeem himself, he makes the wrong choice! I'm very interested to see the next couple movies to find out whether his story ends in despair or hope.
I like Kylo too
Easily (imo) the single most interesting thing about ep 7
Esp because, for a movie so incredibly similar to ANH, he was the most wildly different and fresh concept there was in that movie
And I honestly don't get why people don't like him when they compare him to Vader and find him lacking. THAT'S LITERALLY (and literare.. ily?) THE POINT
What's great is that both characters represent the false promise of the dark side in vastly different ways
Vader is more experienced and far more mature/powerful so he gives off the air of someone with authority that makes dark side seem incredible. He has been in the dark side for longer than Luke had been alive. So he looks like he OWNS it
But beneath his cold, imposing exterior we ultimately see that he is little more than palpatine's tool. We don't get to see this until Return of the Jedi, when he is set against his son and ultimately brought to a weakened state for his trouble (losing a hand). When he breaks free from his master he is redeemed and no longer held by the dark side
Kylo is far younger, far less experienced and FAR easier to see through. Unlike Vader, we get to see him being intimidating AND weak in the same movie. This is INTENTIONAL. rather than being shown someone already immersed in the dark side, we get someone fairly recently indoctrinated by its false promises
Kylo seemingly craves that (ultimately false) air of cold, certain authority that his grandfather displayed in the first two movies. It becomes apparent pretty **** quickly, through his insecurities and his tantrums and Rey kicking his ass, that he's not achieving that state
Because that image of his grandfather, of the mighty and unassailable Darth Vader that he idolizes is a big fat lie.

I do have to say, one of my favorite scenes in the movie was simply the stormtroopers turning the corner, seeing that Kylo was in the middle of one of his tantrums, and silently backing away.
The best character development of any SW movie: the faceless looks are capable of learning

It is great to know that there are a few of us who TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THE DEPTHS OF THIS HUMAN STORY.
Have to admit that TFA is not great, but it is good and it has greatness in it. I did not love the film at all last year, however I loved that FFG was fueled with a good half-a-dozen NEW Ships to make.
Now that I have had time to watch the film again a few times now, I can just smile at the dumber stuff in it... it is kinda cute... now.

The deeper elements; like Kylo being lost, and Rey being afraid of him and dominated by him... until she opens herself to The Force. I will admit that there are three great scenes in TFA that move me greatly... it is cool, very cool.

Determination might also be a sensible choice for Aces with a 'Spare' EPT - Tycho, for example, can probably tolerate having 'just' one Elite Pilot Talent (Push The Limit or Rage) and saving the second for Determination if the alternative is being blown away in two unevadable shots from a Grandfather/Grandson combo on a Decimator.

It's just ALREADY NOT THAT NEW
NEW Hope
More content? Yes, definitely. But I'd be more happy to see a good game with good design. Than a film.

It's OK Star Brothers. When Episode VIII comes out and suddenly Kylo Ren is the new hotness, we can sip our craft beer, stroke our hipster beards and note that we thought he was a solid character back in Episdode VII.
A good villain is often the antithesis of the hero, and can be a threat by subverting their morals.
Rey is bright, confident and (for a scavenger) trusting. She hopes to see her parents (despite being abandoned with no explanation) and is seemingly afraid of having real power.
Kylo Ren is an inversion of all of that.
Rey hasn't had her morals threatened by Kylo - yet. Part of which goes to her Mary Sue perception but is perfectly in-character. Kylo is just a masked dork to her - how can he tempt her? But he's a cunning enemy, and perfectly capable of manipulating his enemies.

It will be really interesting to see where this goes in Episode 8. Both Rey and Kylo look set to receive additional training in the interim. It is clear Kylo believes in the power of the Dark Side but it is not so clear that Snoke does (at least, not to the depth the Emperor did). I remember one of the writers elaborating that Snoke believed strength came from conflict. Not just conflict between groups but also conflict within individuals. On this basis, I don't think he wants Kylo fully consumed by the Dark Side the way Vader was. Having him caught in the perpetual conflict between light and dark seems to suit his purpose better.
