So.... Back to Wave 9 and pretending Wave 10 is never happening please?

By Kdubb, in X-Wing

You're talking about captured Czech and French and Polish and other tanks, the supply chains and production lines of which they actually took over, right?

They used everything they could get their hands on. For example: http://www.achtungpanzer.com/panzerkampfwagen-t-34r-soviet-t-34-in-german-service.htm

As I said elsewhere, just because Germans captured the T34 doesn't mean they should get it as a faction.

For hetzers they captured the production lines so could manufacture accordingly. Though Czech tanks, they were and are associated with the German armed forces.

The quad jumper though . . .

Ugh. I try to be optimistic, but honestly, putting that thing in the game seems more desperate than making up your own ship. It's literally in the movie just so they can say "that ship's garbage."

They actually ran to the quadjumper before running to the falcon. And I believe they legitimately thought our beloved falcon was a piece of garbage. So in the sequel trilogy quadjumper> millennium falcon I guess

now, TBF, they didn't know it was the falcon

they thought it was a yt-1300

...yeah, I'd take Quadjumps any **** day

They run to the QJ because it was a well maintained ship, ready to take off any moment, while the Falcon haven't flown in years.

The Upsilon shuttle had promise, I don't mind the quadjumper.

but the Rebel TIE fighter is really killing me.

At least they made them all unique. Might be a more occurring thing with cross faction ships and I do consider the ARC-170 a cross faction ship, it is just that the Republic subfaction (for the Imperials primary faction) is not out yet.

Wave 10 is clearly the Suicide Squad of X-Wing waves.

It's already going to be my first zero purchase Wave. Wave 9 came close, but one ARC and (maybe, I'm still undecided) one Fang will probably join my collection.

This though... ugh.

I can understand and accept the Upsilon-class shuttle. Force Awakens tie-in, balances out the Heroes of the Resistance Falcon. I won't be picking one up, though, as I have no interest in the First Order ships myself.

But the Quadjumper? Really? A ship only notable for being one-shot by a TIE Fighter in a blink-or-you'll-miss-it moment in the film?

And Sabine's TIE... cute paint job, and I'm sure Rebels fans will enjoy it, but it's really not for me. I'm not fielding a TIE Fighter in a Rebel list. It's not happening. And YES, it's just YET ANOTHER TIE repaint. Ugh.

Honestly, this feels like Disney taking the reins and control of the product.

The only positive thing I can take from this is that (as the first 3 ship wave), I guess this Wave will be joined by a TIE Striker and U-Wing at the end of September.

This. ^

I get the Sabine's TIE might be fun, but a repaint released in a Wave is really a bad precedent.

Hopefully the U-Wing and TIE Striker will be released in a 10.5 Wave, not in the Wave 11. I still hope to get that Assault Gunboat in my table...

Why not, if the scale of the game is appropriate?

In an army level game definitely not, as the German army never fielded full T34 divisions.

But in a platoon level game why not? A couple of T34s accompanying a dozen German infantrymen certainly happened during the war, so why not in game?

1-2 captured TIEs is largely the same IMO.

I actually like Sabine's TIE, but the Quadjumper confuses me. It didn't really do anything in TFA except get shot. And Kylo's shuttle just seems too... massive. Why they didn't scale it down is beyond me.

Sadly, they did scale it down.

Yep. They might need to do the same when they release the Rogue One's Imperial Shuttle (oh God, please no).

Ah **** you're right

Quick, everyone! To the time machine!

Sure, the S&V needed a help back in the wave 6.

Still, you got a lot of value with the Most Wanted pack (3 ships, 6 dials!) - you can't compare it to the Sabine's TIE.

I'm going to need a new token box. Keeping track of that cloak token for my Phantom is hard enough - I'm going to have to make a "special" bag for the Mr. Hux and Mr. Ren tokens they're adding. They'd have no in-game effect, but I almost wish they added duplicates in the set so you're not boned if you lose one the same way you are if you lose a shield token.

No token. You now have actual cards.

The card just tells you the effect. Yo ustill use tokens to mark the affected ship

About BoSS, any canon material confirming it? because the scene above makes is crystal clear that you typed two letters too many and it is actually BS.

I hope your credit card never gets stolen, because you clearly do not get your head around the concept of reporting something stolen. Something which was the case for those stolen TIE fighters and something which was not the case for the shuttle.

The star wats universe also has the ability to spoof ships registrations and info to apprear as other ships of the same type.

A repaint thats a new ship for a different faction with new capabilities. Its not like they released it as a new model repaint for the imperials to fly.
