Kylos Shuttle- i think we all knew it was coming at some point. I personally like the ship design, and as a mostly Imperial player who has been dabbleing more and more into Scum, it will be a must buy for my FO collection.

Sabines Tie- I did not want this to show up, but also knew it was coming. I almost purchased one custom painted this week. Glad i didnt pull the trigger. I am glad to see no generics with it. Will Buy it for sure, but didnt want to ever have to fly against it on a rebel list.

Quad- GREAT SURPRISE. Really happy with this one. Good looking ship to my eye, and adds something unique no one expected.

Ok, here's a thought. How does R2-D2 (crew) interact with Sabine's TIE? At the start of the End Phase, she will have no shields..... And it doesn't say anywhere that you needed to have shields to start with.

She'd just end up turning normal hull damage into crits for zero gain.

Is it 16pts? When I look at the card, I see 18pts. 18pts is a lot for a Tie Fighter, but with the EPT slot, her pilot ability, and potentially crew and an illicit, she might just be worth it. Like you said, she can get fairly bonkers.

She's canonically piloted a lot of different ships. More than just the 3 she has as options in this game, in fact.

The Upsilon Shuttle seems kinda nuts.

First, look at the statline. 4 attack dice(!), 12 health, 1 defense. And Kylo Ren at PS6 with an ability is 1 point more expensive than the Lothal Rebel. That's a beefy statline for that cost. And while it's not surprising for a shuttle to have a good statline for its cost, if you look at the dial it has a green 2 bank, which seems to indicate it will be more mobile than the Lambda.

Next look at the action bar. Notice anything? That's the Coordinate action icon from Epic. When you take a Coordinate action, you choose a friendly ship at range 1-2 and give them a free action. So this thing has nuts support capabilities.

Then look at the upgrade bar. Just like the Shuttle, it has a System slot and two Crew slots, so it works as a Palpmobile. But Kylo Ren also has an EPT, so that's a new option, and then you have the two Tech slots, which will probably become relevant as more and more Tech is printed.

Then there's the 2 point title that gives a stress out to an opponent's ship at range 1-2. While it requires an unstressed ship in range and your opponent ultimately chooses the ship to receive the stress, being able to just deal out stress each turn is pretty nice. The closest thing to it is Mara Jade, which costs 3, is restricted to range 1, and takes up a crew slot.

Anyone got better eyes on the illicit with the quad. Looks like the title might be "Scavenged cargo"? Any one decode the small print yet?

Just means it's faster, which with a large base and single arc isn't the best thing. Odds are it doesn't have 1-speed green banks, maybe not even 1-speed greens at all.

I don't think that's necessarily true. It is more expensive, meaning it is paying for all those upgrades. Putting upgrades on this will put it easily into the mid-30's. From the reveal, we already see it has a green two bank. Already an improvement!

They are definitely movable.

They have it on display with the wings in the up position. Photo in the article they are lowered.

But strictly appealing to casual fans(and I don't mean that in a derogatory sense) over the hardcore ones that initially made X-Wing so successful is pretty bad.

Look at why I got into it, I wanted a Decimator, now I have a core set, extra X-wing, a Tie/Adv, Imperial Aces and a Falcon.

Someone who bought all those, and what ever else they wanted for their list building is unlikely to make more large purchases and will buy one at a time of new interesting ships.

So you'd need to compare a new player dumping $200 building a new fleet. To an old player buying the one $15 figure he likes from the new wave.

I mean, yeah, he's got spooky Force mojo...kinda...now and then. Some things he does really well, other things he kinda sucks balls at. So...not a problem believing that skill level.
