Wave 10 Artical is up

By Cubanboy, in X-Wing

I keep thinking of Batman when I see that shuttle. Darth Batman now....

that would imply this ship is badass...

its another shuttle. it cant be badass. We have FOUR SHIPS with multi-crew slots and very few actually good crew to put on it now.

0 point EPT on the jumper. Could be fun.

Pick a ship at the start and get free focus-->crit against it.

For 0 points that is solid.

So instead of doing something more iconic from the EU (like Nym's Scurrg) FFG and the Mouse chose a ship that just blew up while standing in a field...

The kylo ren stuff seems confusing as hell. The shuttle looks bad ass though. Coordinate action in standard play? Awesome! He does have two crew slots so could put palpatine on the shuttle. Seems like a mix of Decimator and Lambda for price point.

Wow! What a mess Kylo's crew ability is. The name, the mechanics and the effect are all really out there.

Edit: And equally messy is his pilot ability. Talk about missed oppurtunity..

I'm miffed I watched the Twitter feed like an idiot for this stuff.

I thought it was August 5th.. April was months ago...

:(

iconic for who exactly?

And except for feeding pilot cards to a Determination pilot i literally dont see a point in Kylo's ability. Pilot cards suck, they often cripple your ship (unless you dont care about ps0, sometimes this is true). Also its going to conflict with Stele's ability.

What sucks about being able to pick a pilot crit to affect the enemy once you crit the ship?

Yes how dare they pick ships people are familiar with (and ships from new movies) and bring new, interesting styles of play to existing factions instead of EU ships nobody knows about.

I'll never understand the tinfoil hat theories about Disney controlling FFG, lol.

Is... is this real? It seems like it shouldn't be real.

iconic for who exactly?

For Armada players at least.

Anyone that has a grip on the EU. Lets be honest, more people are interested in seeing old EU designs (like the gunboat or Avenger for instance) than seeing ships that appear in all of 3 seconds of screen time in a movie.

Agreed.

I hate when devs put these new @#%^&ing mechanics into games and screw it all up. Add a new token! Not condition cards. BLARGH

Except a lot of long time Star Wars fans are very familiar with it. Dismissing that is kind of a slap in the face.

And nevermind, it appears the Epsilon in the case at Gencon has it's wings in the upright position.

However, since two of the ships are unpainted prototypes, there is no way we are getting these this year.

Ah, but if you watch carefully, it's actually invincible...just after it gets blown up, before they run up the Falcons ramp, you can see it again in the background...now that's "scummy" ! ;)

Oh my god, I called it - the Quadjumper!! Never thouight that that would happen.

exactly my thoughts!! I'm loving it :D

Quadjumper

"Finally, the expansion includes all the tokens you need to fly it to battle, plus a maneuver dial with no fewer than six different speed "1" maneuvers."

errr....

Calling it now, 1 speed reverse cause it's not going to have a K-turn

I've been thinking we'd see Reverse maneuvers at some point for a long time. What would they go on? Something that should be SLOW but also could be very nimble in a limited area.

Six speed 1's? I guess having all the normal 1 maneuvers gives you five so that means a K-turn or something else.

i would dispute that. more people will have seen those three seconds of movie than will ever know about the old EU

Is there any info in books, comics, anywhere on what The Quadjumper is capable of? From the movie, I didn't think it could even get in to space.

Hey guys.

I love all of this announcement, personally.

I guess I like weirdness. I would have liked to see some older EU stuff finally get added (like gunboat) but I've also been wanting two of these three ships for awhile and the third I'm not disgusted by, just surprised. I'm going to enjoy it.

And? The people that know about the old EU are far more common among X-Wing fans, largely being the ones that made the game so successful in the first place.

That doesn't mean most people would rather have a ship seen in 3 seconds of a movie then one that's already established from now non-canon sources. I don't really know anything about Nym or the Scurgg but it certainly sounds more interesting then the Quadjumper.

I've just come to the conclusion that 90% of the people on this forum are either 12 years old and haven't learned to process emotions, or they don't actually like the X-wing game and are just here to troll and cry. This wave looks super exciting and full of new surprises. When they add the Rogue One ships to this wave, it will be just amazing.
