I want to see Bala Tik the guavian death gang dude. I really liked their soldiers. Hopefully he will be a good yellow card. Perhaps future expansions will bring in their soldiers and I can make a Guavian Death Gang deck.
The best character?
I'm thinking about a discard strategy. Knock off enough cards so that they'll have to keep drawing up 'till five. And if they decide to hold cards in their hand, hit them with mind probe. So I'm very intrested in blue villains (I'm asuming mind probe is a villain only card.) and anyone with discard abilities.

I'm pretty partial to Dooku at either price. Double discard seems very good, the rest of his die is up to par and his ability is solid. On cards overall I'm most hyped about the falcon; 5 resources seems entirely doable in a turn or two, the dice has great numbers on it and the special ability seems absolutely fantastic.
On further examination: Dooku, Jango and FO stormtrooper is 30 points and lets you have all three types in your deck. How good that will be remains to be seen.
Edited by NorgrathTotal guesswork here but I'm assuming General Veers is going to have an ability relating to vehicles which would be exciting for me. Shame there appear to be so few - Seems we have Black One and Falcon for heroes and AT-ST and TIE/FO for villains. Would have been nice to see a generic X-Wing in there, Vader's TIE maybe. Anyway, General Veers vehicle swarm is still my hypothetical ideal at this point.
I personally think that reys ability to make an extra action when upgrades is better than vader ability. In this games it seems tempo is almost all, and make two actions consecutives seems powerfull. Also Finn ability to let you use villain cards in a deck seems pretty nice, but well see.
Considering how good Rey's ability is, it's no wonder Jango costs so much. But I'm wondering, how easy do you think it would be to play around Ja go's ability? You could choose to pay for cards and stuff before activating your characters. If the Jango player lacks those options, he'll have to activate Jango before you activate a character, thus nullifying Jango's ability. But then you're playing catch-up as far as rolling and using dice. And the likelihood of being able to do that turn after turn seems low. I'm loving Jango Fett and definitely loving that he's rare and not legendary.
Han Solo and Rey deck, seems like a good start. From what we've seen the Millennium Falcon and Let the Wookie Win (TC demo video 14:02) are very strong yellow cards. Rey's tempo with Han's defensive mechanic seems like you could potentially stall early game while you develop your board at a rate hopefully faster than your opponent.

Han says: After you play a card with the Ambush keyword, you may give a character 1 shield.
there are some yellow cards with ambush, and some upgrades like holdout blaster. cost 2R dice: 1RD, 2RD/1R, +2RD, 1S, 1R ( Ambush (You may take one additional action after you play this card)
Redeploy (After its character is discarded, move this card)
Not sure how it would work but it appears you could chain actions with Rey and Ambush cards...which would also trigger Han...

I hope they spoil some more cards soon. Im having a hard time containing myself
Where is Jango Fett? I saw him spoiled somewhere, but now I can't find it.

Looking at the characters spoiled in the articles again, Count Dooku, point cost 11/15 1 and 2 damage, 1 focus 2 card discard (1 resource cost) and 1 resource one blank. Ability discard a card to give him a shield. So everytime he is dealt damage he could shield one. So his starting 10 life could become 20 by games end. He's reasonably costed, he can make you discard 2 cards, I think Dooku could be sleeper character. Of course he runs the danger of shielding too much and being decked. But I beleive when your deck is gone, your still alive as long as you have a card in hand?
Best character...... Stormtrooper! I'm gonna make a team of 4 stormtroopers 4 dice 28 health baby!

When I first found about about doubling up on dice for unique characters, I was focused on the action economy. I thought being able to roll 4 dice with two actions was too good to pass up. I completely overlooked the health bonus. You're between 4 and 8 health over teams with two characters.

I think it will be the opposite anyway; you *generally* will want to be able to go slower and be rolling most of your dice later in the turn if possible, since that leaves less opportunity for your opponent to manipulate or discard your dice. So, swarm teams like multiple Stormtroopers will be pretty great at this. The only times you won't want to go slower is when some of your characters are damaged enough that they might get killed before getting to attack, or if the opponent has some sort of heavy shielding build going on or something where they'll be able to keep getting shields out before you get to fire with most people, or possibly if the battlefield 'claim' is real good like the Frozen Wastes in the starter that will ditch your best die.

And BTW: I have just played two, virtual games and I see things differently: Vader is not that good.
Kylo is awesome. Didn't tried yet, but Kylo and Dooku will be great.
Unless there is some awesome, unspoiled card for them - it won't be a thing. Phasma + 2x troopers is simply better.Best character...... Stormtrooper! I'm gonna make a team of 4 stormtroopers 4 dice 28 health baby!

Did you play on TTS or on something else? Or did you just print the known card.
I'm still rooting for vader to be good. If villains have some not yet revealed defensive cards and more discard effects I'm hoping you can basically make a mill deck out of it.

So far I'm very skeptical of mono-color teams. You forfeit deck access to a large portion of cards and the downside of not being able to play things if one of your characters is dead can be mitigated through the re-roll mechanic.

Who knows but right out of the gate single color decks are more restricted but I'm sure that will change as more stuff comes out.

What's TTS?
I made myself virtual table - very simple browser page - just good enough for making game possible.
And yes, you might be right, I'm talking about current (30% spoiled) situation. I had Vader with Kylo with the best cards possible vs starter deck Rey + second die for Finn + ten doubled cards. I didn't even think which ones to double - I wanted to see what happens against mediocre deck. The last man standing was... Finn.
Yes, it was very close (Finn had his last 1 health), but hey, it shouldn't happen
Heroes had 2 cards in hand, villains 5. It was 5th round and decks were empty. Mind Probe is sick, but still villains lost.
So those 4 dice seem huge vs 3 dice at the beginning. Oh and last rounds you can roll 10 dmg, so it will be probably hard to make a draw or timed game.
After this little experience, I wonder what proper deck should look like. Would people play with 30 dice?
Now I'm gonna check some heroes, I think Han might be truly awesome. The same for Qui-Gon.
the downside of not being able to play things if one of your characters is dead can be mitigated through the re-roll mechanic.
And sidenote: you can still play those cards after the character is dead, as long they are not 'blue character only' or 'spot blue character' or similar.
The risk with syncing your symbols is that you could get easily blown out if your opponent start to include cards that say remove all dice of one type. And we do know that is a mechanic that does exist.
I made proxies, played kylo and 2 troopers against rey and Finn, max dice. I played dark side and won with a full health trooper as last character standing. The blaster rifle was MVP, it has redeploy so when my first trooper died, just moved it for free. Oh and got Kylos special off once, pulled the falcon doing 5 damage.
This game is a real blast! Off to play more, we are switching decks.
Edit: Dark side went 4-0!
Edit 2nd time: Scaled it back to starter packs light side won. Awakenings makes Rey dice decent. Red dark side is Ranged powerhouse!
