I've been tinkering a bit with the Arquitens Light Cruiser. Mostly because it looks great and has gotten screen time in Rebels (so I'm betting we get it in Armada, sooner or later). I'm sure the FFG versions will be different. But in the meantime we can have a bit of fun with my version ![]()
My version is a Small base ship with native speed 3 and good yaw at speed 2-3. It has command 1 and 3 engineering, which is a new combination. Squad is just 1, so not a carrier.
The Light Cruiser version is pretty much an Imperial broadside version of the CR90 - only with ordnance. Use it to run TRCs (finally) for the Imps, then close for the kill with your fav ordnance upgrade. It can cake Engine Techs, but it's probably not worth it. Works well with Screed of course, but a TRC version could be great with Tagge.
The Communications Ship version has less combat power than the Light Cruiser (comparable to a CR90 in firepower, only slower). But, and this is the fun part, it has a Fleet Support icon in place of the Ordnance. So you can now stuff Flee Support on a non-Flotilla. I'd say the obvious choice is Slicer Tools - watch the Comms Ship (possible with ET) race in a slice a key enemy ship. Very thematic IMO.
No titles yes, but I'll try to add a couple soon.
I'll also add more ships as I go. Next up is the Executor, with a custom mega-base, six shooting arcs, and lots of goodies.
