Frankly, fellow frugal Fang flyers fair fantastically. Firing first fits; fissure formations flummox.
Fork?
as in"fork green dice"
The pricing and dial are great. Ya'll need to reevaluate your lives if you think that ship needed to be cheaper.
The ship due to it's cost and dial does not really fill the role that I wanted it to. I have gone from excited about the ship to ambivalent. I was hoping it would fill the spots in my lists that I currently am using Khiraxzes but be a bit more durable and provide some options for repositioning.
I would gladly trade the green turns to get a point off each of the generics and 1 straight and banks on the dial.
Honestly puzzled why they didn't go with banks, even white ones, on the dial. Yes, it's irrelevant to a PTL ace, but if you're going to ramble on about being an arc dodger that enjoys jousting... it'd she be nice to have a white dial that's actually suited to the job. And speed 1s are kinda handy there.
I dunno. We've got the insane pilot ankylosis of the ARC, the absurd dial of the shadow caster, which apparently deserved the fastest dial in the game, the not-very-TIE-feeling SF dial, and... the carefully boring, slightly overpriced fang?
What gives? This doesn't feel like a wave that had the design phase hammered out carry well.
The fang dial convinces me something's up, because it just emphasises the inconsistencies all round.
I do not understand why people are just OK or even down on the Fang Fighter. It's an amazing ship and will do really well. Fenn Rau is going to kick butt. He's going to be the Scum Soontir Fel. How is he not a good thing?
Old T with Vet Instinct is going to pretty much ruin Soontir Fel's. Same for Dengaroo. An easy counter to one U-boat firing that turn. Why are people thinking Old Tetrach is not so good?
How are people disappointed with that dial?!?!? It's about the same as a Tie Interceptor, which is one of (if not the) best dial in the game.
How do you not understand my dissatisfaction with green dice
?
But holy crap 110% agreed
I don't know what asteroid anyone ran into that made them think the motherloving FO dial is anything less than absolutely bonkers spectacular
Yeah yeah t-rolls instead of sloops; **** is still amazing
Don't personally think the generics are worth the asking price, but the dial is among the impressive MOST impressive in the game

Don't get me wrong, it's a great dial if you want a PTL Interceptor. The problem is, I didn't want one of those. I read the initial preview article and had a "Wow, it looks like they are making a ship that fits my play style. I am so excited." reaction. Upon seeing the dial, I have realized that this ship is not what I was hoping it would be. I understand that most people are ecstatic that they can finally have a small based PS9 PTL Scum ace to go along with their PS9 Scum fat turret. Neither of those are things I typically use.
Having slower dials like Rebel ships combined with the hard turns of Imperial ships is why I mostly play Scum. The Fang doesn't really fit in with that. The High PS Fangs may very well be fantastic. I might use them every once in awhile. The Fang just isn't going to be the go to ship I put in my Scum lists that I thought it would be.

The fo dial is not just for ptl
It's also balls out incredible for jousting
Problem is the Fang isn't priced for jousting g
Maybe solus?
"This ship isn't what I built it up in my head to be, so it's not very good"
No. That's not what he's said. It's more along the lines of "This ship isn't what I built in my head, so I'm disappointed." He never said it wasn't good. It just wasn't what he wanted.

Exactly. I wanted a cheaper Starviper or a Khiraxz with repositioning actions. That's not what this ship is. That doesn't mean it's a bad ship. I've flown Interceptors but I realized after awhile that even though I wanted to like them, I didn't. They didn't fit with the way I play. That doesn't mean that I think that Soontir Fel is not very good.

If
You lose the green turns and guve it one straighta and banks, ehy bother having a new ship. You basically have a kihraxz or starviper (since if you want the ones youll probably lose the 5s and maybe the 3 turns)

I'm disappointed with it. The generics are just touch too expensive and if I wanted that dial with PTL, I'd just play Imperials.
I was pretty sure it was going to be my new favorite ship but now I'm not sure if I'll end up putting it on the table.
Since, in some cases the distinctions between factions are fading, this way people can still play their faction of choice.

You are right. I totally wanted 3 baby Starvipers to run around with Guri.
They are talking about the 20 point generic, which should be 20 points WITH the title. Which sounds about right. With 21 points you end up with 5 points to much. The pricing and dial are great. Ya'll need to reevaluate your lives if you think that ship needed to be cheaper.
People need to stop using, can I fit X into list? No? It's Y points to many, as a base for how well it's priced. Spamming something does not make it good. The only reason TIEs work like that is because of their low entry cost period. BBBBZ only worked because the amount of fat Hans, so it could out last.

It's not just about how many you can cram into 100 points. Can you fit 2 of the cheapest generics into 40 points? Can you fit two of the higher PS generics with some upgrades into 50?
If a ship ends up being a point or two over what is left to fill in a squad you either need to cut something else or find a different ship to use. If you find yourself choosing a different ship most of the time because you aren't willing to make other cuts, then the ship is probably overpriced.
The PS1 with title at 20 points would have been great. The PS3 with title, autothrusters, and a 1 point EPT for 25 points would have been perfect.
Edited by WWHSDI think the issue is that green hard 2s are awesome, but also played out. Even the TAP had a more 'unusual' dial, and frankly one better suited to jousting.
