Whilst using the HWK290 and the Moldy Crow title I have 3 focus tokens stored from previous turns. The Hawk contacts another ships base so doesn't get an action. In the shooting phase it takes two hits, I roll two defence dice, a blank and a focus, can I use one of the stored focus to turn the dice focus to an evade?

losing your normal action does only that: you lose your normal action. Assuming you arent stressed, you can still be granted free actions, and even if you are stressed you can be assigned tokens (long as it doesnt say free action to get said token)

Also, if you're stressed, you can still spend tokens you have. This is exactly what makes the Moldy Crow title quite handy to have, the ability to store tokens for times where you may not be able to perform an action. Coupled with a Recon Specialist, you can accumulate quite a stash.
