sorry to post something about something that has already been addressed, but this is for proof for a bunch of people at my game shop who won't believe me. my question is when omega leader has you target locked specifically can or can't you use evade tokens? thanks in advance.

No you can't.

Edit - gonna go hunting for the reference but my phone is being dodgy

Adding results is a form of modification. The three forms are:

Change a die to a different face

Add a die set to a specific face

Reroll a die.

OL blocks all three, including blocking locked ships forcing him to modify his defence dice.

He doesn't affect Palpatine when palp is on another ship, or when palp is on the ship he has locked but is modifying another ship.

He doesn't affect dice cancellation, so Crack Shot and the first half of Accuracy Corrector (but not the second) still work.

Rules reference p13, Modifying Dice. Spending an Evade token is dice modification, which Omega Leader prevents.

Also note that when you are T-Locked, you cannot modify ANY dice, including both your dice and Omega Leader's dice.

For example, Zuckuss cannot force Omega Leader to reroll his evade dice. Likewise, Sensor Jammer cannot change one [hit] result from OL's attack to an [Eye] result.

Just to be clear, Omega Leader's ability only affects you, the target locked ship, if he's attacking you or you're attacking him. If OL has you tl'd but you're attacking or defending against a ship other than OL, play progresses as usual. OL's ability does not have an effect.

Heavy Laser Cannon retains critical hits?

Heavy Laser Cannon retains critical hits?

Yes it does, because they are actually a dice modification.

That is to say, the change from kaboom to boom is a dice mod.
