Competitive Play in USA

So ive been debating getting into competitive play since now that im not in college and have a decent job i have a surprising amount of free time specifically on the weekends. So i figured i should get into tournaments for xwing, but theres an issue:

i have no idea what to keep track of for tournaments and as a result i usually hear about them after registration is over (worlds for instance) or its too close to put in for time off that friday.

Can anybody give me some sites to watch that tells me when/where these things are going on? So far the only tournies ive been to are the FLGS hosted ones with like 15-25 people lol

The competive X-Wing schedule is shifting after worlds this year - here's the new calendar:

FFG generally releases a list of where Regional and Store Championship events are taking place at the start of their respective seasons (watch the FFG OP page/twitter)

Aside from that, Facebook is generally the easiest place to find tournaments in your local area - there are a ton of local/regional Facebook groups that share this sort of info about which LGSs are hosting events and when.
