=THE NEXT ARMADA EVENT ON VASSAL= ROUND FOUR... FIGHT!!!

By doobleg, in Star Wars: Armada

Doobleg vs Maturin is paused at the top of turn four.

As things stand, Maturin's on the ropes, with Gallant Haven and Yavaris both down. His squadrons, however, cleaning up. His last two ships are on the run, and it's doubtful I'll run them down.

Game will continue Friday. So far it's been awesome fun. :D

Great game, very entertaining. Someone please remind me not to fly into the combined front &aside arcs of 2 trc90's and a liberty again, please. :P

Doobleg, I fell into your trap!

JJ vs Moodswing5537, JJ first player choosing my Contested outpost

460-120, 9-1 win to JJ

MOV 340

This was a great game. JJ rushed all three battle cruisers down my throat, only taking moderate dmg to one with my squads. Turn 4, one would succomb, but 3 out of for of my ships died as well. Tarkin was able to put a little squad hurt on Rieekan's ship, but got killed last, leaving rieekan with 5 hull and 2 rear shields to 6 of my squads. Unfortunately I was only able to take it to 1 hull so it limped away in victory.

This was one of the more fun loses I've had though. It's great to see rebel muscle ships smack down fleets as they should. JJ was awesome, as we joked the whole time. I hope his 340 MOV is enough to get him in the 8th spot. I'd love to watch his fleet again.

JJs (1st Player) vs Moodswing (2nd Player)

Objective: Contested outpost

The win goes to JJ's with the score 480-140. That's a MoV 340 9-1

A really great game against Moodswing. He gave me first player to force his objectives and possibly cause me some activation issues with having to move through his bombers. It definitely did. I charged the station and was in control by turn too, but one of my liberties was taking heavy squadron fire. I was able to chew through Moodswing's fleet, but not before Anvil succumbed the bombers, and Rieekan was on 1 hull with no sheilds by the end of the match!

Hopefully that's enough to get me into the cut, or the MoV wildcard!

Edit: Ninja'ed!!! (the score was 480-140 though. I had 4 outpost tokens to Moodswing's 1)

Thank you for correcting that...Like I said, no coffee = maths are hard....:-)

How we doin' organising games, peeps? :)

I've had an email from one player whose opponent has decided to drop out. Not usually a problem, however in this case the player has no chance of winning the Wild Card entry with a forfeit mov.

I'm keen to see him, and anyone else in the same position, have a fair shot at the finals.

If anyone else finds themselves without an opponent for this final round and isn't satisfied with the forfeit, please let me know - I'd like to pair you up with the aforementioned player for round four (regardless of current standings) so that you both get one final chance at glory. :D

huh. . . I did not realize I climbed the ladder pretty good from my loss. . . oh well time to lose it all with my new list! ^_^

Roquax vs WGNF911

First Player: Roquax

Objective: Superior Positions

Score: 178 - 105 (73 MoV for a 7-3)

Maturin vs Doobleg is set to conclude this Friday August 12th 1430 GMT. It's gonna be great! :D

gowtah/gk vs matt antilles Sunday at 5pm gmt

Ginkapo versus Mala kicks off in just over an hour!

Ginkapo versus Mala kicks off in just over an hour!

Its on right now!

And were playing Hyperspace Assault, cause I am bored of normal objectives mainly.

WAWY vs KovuTalli starting in several minutes.

Ginkapo vs Mala finishes 153 to 69 in Ginkapo's favour (MOV 84 7-3)

I went first as usual, and picked Hyperspace cause its far more fun!

Mala played really well, fustrated me quite a lot, and suffered an unfortunate slicer turn 3 as Bright Hope got just in distance which swung the battle heavily. Jaina was able to give up her life to put a lot of hurt on Dodonna in his assault frigate for Admonition to finish off. Mala's MC30 had dropped out of hyperspace with a double arc on both Lando and Foresight. Lando had scarpered after crippling the MC30, leaving Foresight to take the beating. And thanks to a lack of APT she took it admirably.

From then on it was a cat and mouse game with Admo trying to hunt as many kills as he could.

However, despite his good play I cannot congratualte Mala. Mala murdered Tycho in cold blood, and that cannot be condoned or congratulated.

OK gotta be quick. Will update later if I have time.

WAWY vs KovuTalli - 400-121 MoV 279 for WhatsArmadaWithYou. (9-1?)

WAWY 1st Player

Obj Minefield

Kovu lost all but Nym & 1 Y-Wing

WAWY lost Suppressor, IG88, Dengar, Aggx2, Tie/Adv (all fighters).

Lucky roll turn 6 from front arc of Demo brought down bright hope.

Thank you KovuTalli for the great game! I'm on vacation right now and my wife isn't pleased (understandably) so I gotta RUN!!

Imagine how pissed she woulda been if you'd lost! :P

Captain ICT vs Daht

Kicks off soonish. (I thought I'd be late but I'm not, while Daht now mentioned possibly being late, so -ish)

See the not intended final fleet of Mon Cal, and a frigate vs The might of the Imperial navy. Fighters, pah, who needs em?! We aren't blowing up death stars! (or 'planets' that totally aren't another deathstar.)

One week left in the round, peeps!

Everyone scheduling their game okay? Lemme know if you're having difficulties. :)

STARTING NOW!

The Game that THEY don't want you to see

The Match that BIGGS won't even cover

The Fleets that dare not SPEAK their names

Matt-Shadowlord's Rogue Madness vs Paul PT106's Motti Soul Crushers

Two men enter, only two will leave.

Myself and Rekkon will likely have a very narrow window to play, tentatively scheduled for this coming Monday or Tuesday night.

The real action will be down ticket, where everyone with 16 points or higher will be looking for that big win to put them into the playoffs outright.

Here is a Biggs Pre-Match Bracket. Based on "I am tired and sould be asleep already."

Pt106

Gowtah

WhatsArmada

Ginkapo

Mattshadowlord

Carribbean Ninja

Skycake

CaptainICT - 10 pt win but not enough to sneak in at 25 gets the wild card

Right game, wrong person.

506 is the number to beat by Daht. I could roll nothing but accuracy and blanks. He could roll timely accuracies. Plus an MC80 is the same, as an MC80 right? (I screwed up which one I wanted where.) I'll let him report in more detail.

My target scrambler blocked multiple crit effects and at least 8 damage that game also, beastly. Tabled on turn 3. Advanced Gunnery is a ******. Capt ended up having to run liberty thru some rocks to get in the fight, and an advanced gunnery ISD1 at short range can drop an MC80 in one round, we found out. G8 and target scrambler is a thing.

so yeah.. 506-0 is the score to beat to get in to elimination round

Makes me sad. . . I am not even on that list.

PT106 vs MattShadowloard ended up as 7-3 in Matt's favor with MoV of 79 (154 - 75)

Great game, PT106.

We played his 'Intel Sweep', which I chose as the lesser of 3 evils. PT yoinked 3 tokens to my 2, scoring the 75 points, but fortunately the deficit was more than made up for in the battle.

Two frigates wrestled with two Star Destroyers, and with a great deal of help from squadrons (could Biggs be right about squadrons :o), managed to take one of them out. Admiral Ackbar was extremely lucky to squeeze through the ISD trap at close range. Motti's taxi took a pummelling but managed to get away, as did the objective Raider which was chased by a swarm of half a dozen YTs until time ran out. A flotilla that went into range of my objective frigate wasn't so lucky, and got killed in one shot with accuracy attached.

High command is happy to announce there were no Rebel casualties in the battle.

This was another terrific match with Paul, who played a very precise and disciplined game. GG, thanks.
