GenCon Updates Thread

By shmitty, in Star Wars: Armada

Having trouble uploading photos, Internet had gone bad again. Finalists are Norm Weir (44/1203)) and Dong Lee (38/1052).

Yea that drop really hurt you eh Shmitty? You and Naboobo had to face off against each other. . .

They are working insetting up.

Norm Weir won the final round at GenCon!SyLRKnU.jpg

Congratulations Norm!

Here is the final tournament results after day 2, round 2. This was taken before the final game, but the score remained the same.

I've got a long layover during my flight home tomorrow. I'll post a wrap up of the tournament and a longer "State of Armada" post based on what I saw here at GenCon.

We look forward to it!

Just had a short chat with the FFG CEO about Armada.

Did you also discuss the best style of gold plating for private jets?

Good article shmitty, but you are kinda burying the lead there...was that chat you mentioned onthe record?

It was. I am working on that post now along with a lot of other info. Kind of the post GenCon info dump.

That was really messed up for that guy to drop come back and drop again!

I just wanted to take my hat off to all my opponents at Gencon. All great players and good sports. The one thing I really like about going to these types of events is that I get to meet people face to face that I see on the forums and everyone I met was down to earth and I had great conversations with all of them.

The other thing to consider here. Norm broke one but not both of the rules of list building. 7 deployments, 4 activations. He had the deployments.

And weve seen this before with other skew lists that break deployment rule of thumb but meet the activation quota.
