Broodwalkers Hive Defense ability

By Drakthal, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi everyone.

So i just have a quick question. The master broodwalker have an ability called Hive Defense as in where heroes should consider areas around it as Hazard spaces. So my question is, if a hero ends his turn next to the broodwalker does he get KOed?

Best regards Drakthal

Exactly

Hazard spaces count as Lava spaces, and if you end a round turn in a Lava space, you get knocked out; and all spaces next to a Master Broodwalker counts as a Hazard space (for heroes), due to Hive Defense .

So yeah, absolutely. End a round turn next to a Master Broodwalker, and you're KO'd.

Edit: Fix't.

Edit 2: Upon realizing it, I added the note that it actually only counts as Hazard space for heroes . This has some very important implications in context.

Great answer, but "turn", not "round". End of turn is the end of a single hero's turn (or the end of a monster's activation). End of round would be the end of the OL turn. (Rounds begin with the first hero turn and end with the overlord turn).

Absolutely this, I'm sorry, I didn't think of the distinction in my head as I was writing.

There's too many games where the same words mean different things...

For instance, in some old RPG game I shall not name, round is everyone's activations, and a turn is 10 rounds...

That's no excuse in my case, because my favourite RPG:s use the same terminology! Everyone takes their turns, and when everyone has taken their turns, that concludes the round. :D

Hmmm. So someone out there thought it would make more sense to call someone taking his turn 'a round' and when you go round the table once, to call that a turn. Yeah, that makes perfect sense! :P
