29 points 1 ship.......

By shotbyscott, in X-Wing

Yeah, Rage/EI/VI is better than PTL/Rage. I went to PTL/Rage because ATs would round it out but they're a point too expensive.

OR Rage/EI/Crack, or Rage/EI/Cool Hand for that first-engagement extra bit of evasion.

I agree with Auto Thrusters normally, but that one point makes all the difference here.

Palob, Zuckuss, TLT, Wired, Inertial Dampeners = 29 points

Multiplayer just screams for this as you won't get shot multiple times:

Laetin/Title/Mangler/Stealth

Only 27 points and you will most likely be one of the last 2

Or Really out there:

Deathfire/Extra Munitions/Flechette Torps/Ion Puls missles/Advanced Homing Missles/Ion Bombs/Guidance Chips

You're most likely going to die first with this much threat!

I would have fun with this,

Tycho Celchu — A-Wing 26

Push the Limit 3 / Chardaan Refit -2 / Rage 1 / A-Wing Test Pilot 0

Ship Total: 28

Take Every Action each turn, and there is a ton of green on that dial :-) (only k turns are red)

Boost, Evade, Focus with 3 rerolls each turn no draw backs. I smell cheese.

I love Psycho Tycho

If you are going Tycho, I suggest:

Rage 1/ Chardaan Refit -2/ Test Pilot 0/ Experimental Interface 3/ Veterans Instincts 1

For a total of 29 points

This way you still have the action economy at Pilot Skill 10. For 29 points he is a pretty good ace.

I was also thinking this

Tycho Celchu

Rage, Wired, Experimental Interface, Chardaan Refit , A-Wing Test Pilot

Ship Total: 29

Wired would be good on the def. Its nice to see I am not the only person for the A-wing love. I do wonder though if you push Calc with Rage, and EI, for extra crits, if that could work.

I'd prefer Crack or VI to Calc - A wings have few enough dice that spending points on modifying them in a way you could do most of anyway is way worse than spending points on arcdodging or forcing those hits through.

Wired is a solid option though.

As someone currently trying to put together a Rebel escalation list, the 29 point limit really sucks if you're trying to fly rebels. You're basically limited to A-wings, the Attack shuttle, or generics (most of which you don't even have enough points to kit out well.) Meanwhile the Imperials have a wall of really good Aces they can choose from.

Tycho (Test Pilot title, Chardaan Refit, Push the Limit, Wired) - 28 points

Ezra (Push the Limit, Chewbacca, Targeting Computer) - 29 points

Blue Squadron Novice (R2-D2, Integrated Astromech) - 28 points

Juno Eclipse (Adaptability, TIE/x1 title, Advanced Targeting Computer) - 29 points

Tomax Bren (Crackshot, TIE Shuttle, Tactician, Mercenary Copilot) - 29 points

Sigma (Fire-Control System, Stygium Particle Accelerator) - 29 points

Royal Guard Pilot (Push the Limit, Royal Guard TIE, Autothrusters, Targeting Computer) - 29 points

Zeta Leader (Wired, Comm Relay, Shield Upgrade) - 28 points

Omega Ace (Push the Limit, Comm Relay, Hull Upgrade) - 29 points

Palob (Opportunist, Dorsal Turret, Cloaking Device) - 29 points

Black Sun Ace (Predator, Hull Upgrade) - 29 points

Graz the Hunter (Shield Upgrade) - 29 points

Laetin A'shera ( Heavy Scyk Interceptor [Cannon], Mangler, Shield Upgrade) - 28 points

Black Sun Vigo (Autothrusters) - 29 points

Kavil (Veteran Instincts, Dorsal Turret, Unhinged Astromech) - 29 points

4-LOM (27)

-Zuckuss (1)

-Electronic Baffle (1)

4-LOM (27)

-Zuckuss (1)

-Electronic Baffle (1)

Might as well throw Adapt. on there.

Not out yet, but in the near future this maybe fun:

ARC-170 (29)
Brylen Stramm (25)
Chopper (0)
R2-D2 (4)
Alliance Overhaul (0)

You have a 50/50 chance of relieving stress, if you don't use Chopper, then land on a green next turn. Depending on what the dial is, it should open it up nicely.

Biggs, R2D6, Lone Wolf, Integrated Astro, 1 point bid. I see no flaws here, perfection...

Something about that build seems a little off ...but I can't quite put my finger on it...

Nah, it's fine.

Hobbie K. with Targeting astromech, IA, and Flichette Torp. Middle/Low PS can be your friend in these sort of settings.

IF LW is legal for the event in question, that loadout is a good one...

Stress out anyone silly enough to try flying Jake.

Sabine Wren builds are excellent

Tycho builds are good

OP states that LW is not allowed. Probably due to the fact that you are only allowed one ship to begin with.

Miranda.

Gamma Squadron Vet

  • Crack Shot
  • Homing Missile
  • Extra Munitions
  • Flechette Torpedo
  • Long Range Scanners

I second Juno, adapt, x1, ATC.

Her repositioning is super strong at this point level. Did a 1v1 at a few more points so could squeeze engine upgrade in. Almost untouchable.

Id go with either Zuckuss w/ mist hunter, TB, Adaptability or PTL Carnor. Pretty simple, but good PS and abilities for the points IMO.

Blackmoon Squadron Pilot. <3 E-Wing.

Or stupid. I'm not smart enough to figure out which it is. <_<

Scum hwk pilots. Reduce PS or steal tokens, both paint targets on other ships.

Or Graz the hunter cloak and stgium particle. Get all the pity and they probably don't know your dial.
