This came up at a local tournament last weekend. We were talking about collision detector and decloaking through asteroids and I was wondering, if the phantom cleared the asteroid completely would it suffer the effects of the asteroid. Then I realized a similar situation can occur now. If I tractor beam someone and the template touches the asteroid but the ships base clears it did it overlap the asteroid. Starting from the POV that one suffers all effects of hitting an astroid regardless of the phase. Since a barrel row/decloak are not manuevrs does the templates touching count? Thanks

Technically yes nothing would happen as the trigger for obstacle effects is a maneuver or base overlapping the rock.

Intended to let you slip by with a non-maneuver move? HIGHLY doubt that, and probably would have been specified if it was.

Yes. You suffer all effects regardless of how you bump an obstacle.
