Rigged Cargo Hype!

By JoeVandal49, in X-Wing

Anyone else as excited for this as i am?

Im really excited to try rigged cargo on brobots. Something like this-

88b- Veteran Instincts- HLC- IG-200- Fire control- tractor beam- inertial Dampeners- Autothrusters

88c- Push the limit- Mangler Cannon- ig-200- Advanced sensors- Tractor Beam- rigged cargo- Autothrusters

Going to be A LOT of fun.

Also, the artwork on the card shows a YT. Any chance we get another template with HOTR?

Regardless, im super excited for these new terrain altering additions.

It's another thing that just might mess with Imp Aces. I'm happy.

It's better and more interesting than most of the cards that have been revealed thus far.

I'm looking forward to taking this illicit upgrade out for a spin once or twice.

I'll finally ve able to run my thematic Millenium Falcon once I get this and the smuggling compartments out of Heroes of the Resistance.

With the ability to drop an obstacle then blow up that obstacle with seismic torpedoes.... Might make for an intersting 1-2 move. Drop, then boost. Then have enemy move through and pick up stress. Then blow up with seismic torps to give enemy damage.

Im wondering if we will actually see the elicit and template in HOTR. It would make sense. Its probably likely they would include an illicit upgrade with smuggling compartments in the HOTR, and this one likely makes the most thematic sense. the artwork has a YT as well.

I was thinking of this myself. Really wish i ran more lists that have torpedo slots. This might make me do so, even if only for ***** and giggles.

Boba Fart:

IG-88C (36)
Push the Limit (3)
Advanced Sensors (3)
"Mangler" Cannon (4)
Rigged Cargo Chute (1)
IG-2000 (0)
Boba Fett (Scum) (39)
Fearlessness (1)
Autoblaster (5)
IG-88D (1)
Rigged Cargo Chute (1)
Seismic Torpedo (2)
Engine Upgrade (4)
Slave I (0)
Total: 100

I like it. I like it a lot.

I'm assuming that this won't function like Proxy Mines, and a ship with a cargo token dropped on it won't have to resolve its effects until after executing a maneuver. Otherwise, this would be ridiculously broken for a single point. You'd be able to double-stress ships that only had a white maneuver queued up (one from the token, and again when they leave the cloud) and would basically force your opponent to hand you their dial if they had plotted out a red maneuver.

Sounds fun. A nice list to run instead of my Brobots list in the OP. And it also includes Seismic torpedo.

It ain't a bomb, but close enough

Hype!

Maybe that's Han's new ability: May equip a free Rigged Cargo Chute, when using it your opponent may deploy any number of bounty hunters on the table

It's almost a shame it's large ship only. It would have been hilarious to see a mini swarm of Z95s just choke off an entire section of the board. Utterly broken, but hilarious.

"You may equip the Rigged Cargo Chute upgrade for 0 points. Discard this upgrade at the first sign of an Imperial cruiser."

Fel: I have you in my sights.

Binary Pirate: Oh yeah. Well eat this!

Fel: What the...!

I dismissed this card and then I saw its point cost. For 1 point that's not bad.

Maybe you run these on Dengaroo. Ahahahahahahaha.

not over stims and feedback you won't

Probably not dengar unless you plam to drop it before shooting starts. Youll never get another action after that to use it

I run the Overclocked variant, with Inertials on Dengar in order to force Advanced Proton Torpedoes.

I'd consider a cargo instead. You might throw down a Cargo into a crucial spot between an asteroid that stresses out Defender K-Turns. Now they don't have focus and Zuckuss is more effective for you.

If Dengar DGaF about debris, might as well leverage that.

You have an argument about Feedback Array on Manaroo, you should keep that definitely.

Oh man... After todays spoil... HYPE!!!!!

Idk, as someone who has loved using proximity mines Id rather use mines. Sure giving another ship a stress is nice, but I still think this will be hard to catch an experienced player.

Like proximity mines, will work best with low PS ships. I don't see this as game changing, but definitely looks like fun.

Its one point, and a elicit slot, and if lands on an ememy ship, must be resolved immediately.

Its going to change the game more than most realize, as will the new torpedoes.

The meta will shift heavier towards mat and terrain manipulation, at least to an extent.

I think this has potentially better value as an anti-ace piece than prox. mines, and it's cheaper. The chance at double-stress in the activation phase for a well placed cargo dump for 1 point is pretty solid, especially on ships that couldn't otherwise take prox. mines (YV; Shadowcaster).

I cant wait to try this on my Brobots list.
