See to me it looks more like the Romulan Bird of Pray (TOS era) than the defiant, maybe a mix of the two.
Definitely. The Shadowcaster looks like they took the engines off of the TOS Romulan Bird of Prey and strapped them on the USS Defiant. I like the look of the ship.

There's a difference between someone throwing out a type of behavior that they dislike and others self-selecting in as part of that group (which is what Joe did) and someone going out of their way to find a photo of that person and using it in an ugly and vitriolic manner.
That all said, Joe IS a big boy and has handled both personal and "public persona" criticism here multiple times and I'm sure this won't cause him to stop posting but hey, sign up me up to partner with the guy bringing the good weather every day over someone who's pleasure in life is gargling piss and seeing if they can get a few droplets in your mouth along the way.

and around and around forum negativity goes. I could quite easily break into a chorus of "but YOU said I was also in a padded playpen before i said anything to you and the inference was obviously denigrating and you meant..." but seriously, THAT is a part of the problem.
perhaps we don't need threads like this but having been a denizen of the internet for 25 years and having spent way, way too much of my life on various forums, I actually appreciate the relatively healthiness of this particular community. There is healthy discussion and many disagreements but the overall tone has yet to succumb to constant personal attacks and the like that are all too common elsewhere. For me personally, Joe and his posts are like a hippy constantly trying to keep the vibe mellow. He's bringing good weather and positivity and a thread basically devoted to "Loving this game, sorry you aren't!" doesn't seem to be a good enough catalyst for someone to trawl for pictures of him and use said pictures to attack him here.
to use your own logic back at you -
- if someone felt offended enough by self-selecting INTO being called "miserable things" then who needs the padded playpen?
- go back and highlight the part in Joe's original post or my response to anything here that was in any way negative or deserving of being called names, then look to the mote in thine own eye, blah blah blah
