[RPG] Ivory and Pearl Champions

By MidwayHaven, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Was the Ivory Champion's only job to be the Second City governor's personal yojimbo? Because in my campaigns post-Emperor Seiken I've expanded the role of the Ivory Champion to encompass any gaijin who has shown unquestioned fealty to the Emperor and Rokugani society; after Shinjo Tselu, I've given the championship to Arjuna Singh.

I've also done something similar to the Pearl Champion: it would be given to any non-Shadowlands non-human who presents devotion to the Emperor.

It's your version of Rokugan, do what is right for you.

That said, the Ivory Champion is better thought of as the Colonial Emerald Champion. Ddefending the Colonial Governor is part of the job, but so is upholding his/her law.

There is nothing written about the Pearl Champion that I'm aware of so you can do with it what you will. The first Pearl Champion is a a Ningyo so why not?

Yup. The Ivory Champion is the Emerald Champion of the Colonies with all the usual duties that come with the position.

The Pearl Champion is kinda like a liaison to the Naga. Also, are we talking about the Mantis Ningyo who was, like, an adopted sibling of that bald Mantis chick?
