Quickdraw + Seismic torpedoes

By IG88E, in X-Wing

So when another ship shoots seismic torpedoes and destroys an obstacle and Quickdraw is in range 1, he could possibly lose a shield and attack a (tokenless) ship (for example Soontir) before it has moved, right?

(Best to have another PS9 ship shooting the torpedoes in order to have Quickdraw with finished maneuver and action. It could be interesting to see him with swarm tactics)

Electronic baffle and push the limits would be a much easier combo to attack in the action phase!

basically yeah

rage baffle eliminates all need for jank related quickdraw shenanigans

Yes, but would prefer "enhanced scopes" on him so he moves first. Otherwise he is no danger for ships under PS 9. And any other ship with PS higher than 0 can shoot at the obstacle for him because they move after him.

No danger to ship under ps 9?

She shoots TWICE, once fully modded and then again during combat with rerolls

She's like corran horn on steroids for FAR cheaper, kept in check on by the need to lose shields to trigger her ability

That's still a double tap

There's no sense in going so out of your way with a multi ship combo just to fire a barely modded shot before activation

At that point, flying death fire conners is many times easier and more effective

I scoffed (and still do really as it's more if a novelty than anything) at the electronic baffle builds people were making for her, but I'm really looking forward to being a bit silly and trying it out.

Rage, Electronic baffle, title and sensor cluster (for the focus that rage gives you). Not exactly competitive and it costs more than the default Inquisitor, but I bet it's a lot of fun!

The problem is that if you take enhanced scopes, you need a much more convoluted process to lose your shield and get your shot - and it's quite possibly going to cost you your action.

If you want to Quickdraw someone below PS9, there is a way:

Take Electronic Baffle & Adaptability. You can drop your PS to 8 if you want - which now covers most of the token-stacking aces you see. The advantage is that you can 'borrow' Rage from Youngster - remember that following the naming conventions (TIE/fo Fighter, T-70 X-wing) Quickdraw is still a TIE fighter for rules purposes...

You do know that Quickdraw is a woman?

Yes I do...now. After I got several calls and death threats yesterday from feministic movements and my hairdresser

Don't know why I haven't seen that. Adaptability is indeed a very good choice for him. But no place for rage anymore (you possibly have to fly over an asteroid and lose shield there)

Well as feminists have shown us the answer is to dye your hair blue and shout misandry at every one.

No. Because you move at PS8, then you use Rage. Because Quickdraw is a TIE Fighter, whilst her own Elite Pilot Talent is Adaptability, when she's within range 1-3 of Youngster, she can use Youngster's [Action] header Elite Pilot Talents....like Rage.

It works out quite nicely, because Youngster with Rage & Academy Pilots is a nice squad by itself, especially as blockers.
