Would these ways of spending advancement points be legal once the character had gotten the 10 General Career Advances?

1. Before he moved on to a new career could he spend some advances to pick up some skills not on his character sheet?

2. Before he moved on to a new career could he spend some advances to raise up some of his secondary characteristics that where not listed as the primary ones on his character sheet?

3. As he has only spend 6 of the 10 possible character advances from his character sheet could he buy the other 4 as non-career advances?

4. Could he raise one or both of his primary characteristics at this point and have the advancement points spent into non-carrer advanances?
