Ketsu Onyo crew

By nikk whyte, in X-Wing

Has anyone else noticed that, with all existing rules and faqs, her ability works in 360 degrees of the Lancer?

I'm guessing that the mobile arc only counts the section it has been set to as in-arc.

I suspect the rules for mobile arcs will point out that only the currently active mobile arc will count for "in arc" effects.

There's nothing written to support that, unfortunately. I'm sure it'll be tweaked, but as it stands that's how it works.

It will surely be precised in the rulebook that comes with the ship.

By the current rules and FAQ, the ShadowCaster only has a forward arc. I can't find anything in the rules that give any significance to solid lines that are not around a shaded section or part of the forward arc.

That nerfs the main arc needlessly, which will never change.

I think you're misunderstanding. The primary arc will always count as an arc. However, when it comes to determining effects like Onyo crew, Outmaneuver, Backstabber, etc, it's highly likely that the rules for Mobile Firing Arcs will state that those will only count as an "arc" when the token indicates that it is active. If the token is not pointed at the arc, it probably won't count as one.

Apologies, I was not clear

This is what I meant. You will basically have Forward + up to one other arc for "in arc" activations.

No, the Shadow Caster does not have a 360 firing arc. It has a mobile firing arc along with the normal front firing arc. But if she is in a ship with a 360 firing arc, wow.
