The ship does look like a Reaver Version of The USS Defiant, but so what. I LOVE Wars & Trek so it is not bothering me at all.

yeah im not in the bandwagon that hates on it because it looks trekkie-like. Im more of a trek fan than wars anyway.

But i have to admit i thought it looked like a slimmed down Reliant at first lol.

There isn't an article just for the Shadow Caster. People are expecting it around 1pm EST as that's when they normally do their news releases.

Okay I got 'cha so this is just a general funny complainer topic.

No.....it's people wondering what the new news release they expect today to be about. It's the last ship to be talked about and the last 3 Mondays have had reviews. So, it's expected.

People are just complaining b/c that's what they do.

FFG really needs to make sure the page is up before the create the link to it...

Dont get me wrong, its impossible to not complain about something in life. But people immediately start bitching about everything they dont like rather than see the great side first.

So many people trash the ARC because of the pilot abilities not being insanely op and R3 sucks balls (though i'll admit the R3 one is legit complaint lol). I still ordered 2 of them because i fully expect them to catch people off guard with how good they actually are.

I fact is that about half of the people on here are not here because they love STAR WARS...

For me it looks like the classic series Romulan warbird. And for me that is all fine. Even thinking of getting a second Lancer just to repaint it that way

Oh my. I don't dislike the ship and I like Asajj Ventress. This, along with me startign Scum and Villainy could mean I'm going for it.

Had an event kit a while ago and for some reason I left my phantom model at home. Luckily, the next tray underneath had my attack wing stuff and the players were OK with me using the Bird of Pray as a Phantom Proxy model. .

Maybe not so thrilled when I won with it but still, I thought it was amazing.

Nope, not excited about this one at all. The only Scum ship so far I have zero intentions of buying- don't see anything worthwhile aside from a couple of "okay" crew. Always disliked the look of the ship, too close to Star Trek for me, so the combination of the meh mobile arc, lackluster pilot abilities, and no upgrades (so far) aside from Latts/IG crew has made this a clear pass in my book.

But that's just my opinion.

I am a mostly Imperial player, who has just started dabbling in S&V. So far i have a Boba list, and 4 Aggressors. I also like to fly YT's when i play rebels.

I am highly interested in the crew and Debris field, as well as the pilots.

Seems like an interesting release. I will be picking it up for sure. I love IG-88, Ventress, and Wren. And i cant wait for dash to fart out a debris field.

I will say im not a huge fan of the "style" of the ship. but certainly a lot her to get excited about.

I know a lot of people don't like the look of the Shadow Caster or say that it's a Star Trek ship. I don't know about all that. Maybe I just don't watch enough Star Trek or just don't care enough about Star Trek. How many different types of space ships can people design? I think it looks fine enough to be in Star Wars and don't get the hate that it feels out of place. I'm just happy to see something other than another YT design. I mean, in a galaxy full of different peoples and cultures, I'm happy there are things that actually look different.

As for the stuff it brings, I think it should be pretty cool. I like the idea of a big Tractor Beam. I'm not sure how much I'll actually get to play it, though. I feel like I don't play as much as I used to. I love Dengar, but haven't actually played with him as much as I wanted. I'm thinking the same thing might happen for me.

I think the ship will bring cool new rules and some good pilots. I think the ship is unique enough and will be fun enough to play.

I don't think I'm on the hate train for this one, but it does look similar to a USS Defiant and the Romulan Warbird from the original TV series. As a designer I would've hoped to get more time to work on the Shadow Caster, but then I look at the Poopmaster 5000 and I'm happy this one isn't THAT bad.

Anyway.... it could be a fun ship. I hope we get more cool plastic toy news tomorrow and the next few days at gencon.
