Well that works out in your favor. Poor punishing one. Did you win the salvo?
I wasn't that thrilled about Final Salvo when I first went over the FAQ, but having actually played a game where it was relevant, I've warmed up to it. The uncertainties and the potential to favor certain builds lend themselves to interesting strategic considerations. Consider my first experience with it.
Endgame: Tycho Chelchu has 2 hull left vs. Captain Oiccun with 2 hull left, with a Stunned Pilot crit face up (So Oiccun will also take damage if he collides with an obstacle or enemy). I don't see a better engagement position coming any time soon, so I end up going head to head at Range 2 in arc. I manage to do one damage, putting Oiccun to one, but had to spend my focus token. This lets Oiccun get one damage through as well, leaving us both at one hull. Now, Oiccun has a choice
1)If he doesn't ram, the game will continue, but since I shoot first and can stack tokens, it's more likely Tycho will get one last damage in before my opponent can overcome Autothrusters+Focus+Evade.
2)If my opponent rams Tycho, we're both eliminated, forcing us to go to Final Salvo- My opponent has 7 dice while I have 11.
Which is the better tactical choice? I think my opponent made the right choice in ramming Tycho, but it's certainly up for discussion, which is a good thing in my opinion.
No I sure didn't...I had 7 dice he had 4....i haven't blanked that hard in at least an hour of playing x wing.

...Why oh WHY did you have Tycho in arc at R2 of a Decimator? As a die hard Tycho fan, there is no logical reason for that to ever happen, even if that means breaking off pursuit and coming around 5 rounds later for another pass.

I may be wrong but i'm not sure Dengar should have got the revenge shot as by them he is piloting a collection of debris.
