Hello. I try play Nightmare saga and come to Road darkens Balrog quest. No way I can beat this quest solo in Nightmare mode. Yes I know Boromir blood of numenor and gondorian fire can do that but is boring! There is any other idea how to kill that 2, times per round attack Balrog????

Hello. I try play Nightmare saga and come to Road darkens Balrog quest. No way I can beat this quest solo in Nightmare mode. Yes I know Boromir blood of numenor and gondorian fire can do that but is boring! There is any other idea how to kill that 2, times per round attack Balrog????

I'm not familiar with this nightmare quest. So these ideas may not work:

1. Gondorian fire (easiest way)

2. Ally Swarm. Sacrifice chump blockers to him then kill him with the rest of your allies.

3. Gloin + Citadel Plates + Healing.

4. Booming Ents

5. Cridan+Lay of Nimrodel+Fair and Perilous

That last one is not too difficult to do. Steward on Cirdan can get lots of resources. Then 1 or 2 Lay of Nimrodel followed by 1 or 2 Fair and Perilous will destroy the Balrog in one hit. it's easier to do if you include Dwarven Tomb in the deck.

Get ally Gandalf, Saruman and Radagast into play. Use Gildor and Stargazers to put three Broks and Beorns as the top 3 cards of your deck. Use Flame of Anor with your three Istaris for a total of 18 attack. It isn't the best way, but it's goddamn EPIC.
