ISB Infiltrator's Coordinated Raid against the Dianoga in Coruscant Landfill Skirmish map?

By mightyspacepope, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

A player in my group recently asked if the dianoga counted as a figure or as a mission token. My assumption was that it would function as a token. He then asked if "Coordinated Raid" from the Infiltrators would work on the dianoga.

Coordinated Raid reads " Another figure in your group may interrupt to perform an attack targeting a hostile figure in your line of sight. Limit once per group per round."

My assumption would have to be that this ability wouldn't work against the dianoga based on the wording, right?

Dianoga is not explicitly defined to be a figure, so it is an object. It has Health, so it can be attacked. Being an object, Coordinated Raid does not work with it.

Abilities refer to targets (objects or figures), objects , or figures . Objects and figures are not interchangeable, the ability needs to refer to target for it to apply to both objects and figures.

We had the same question pop up about force surge as it's also hostile figure.

I'd agree with Albert, it's not a hostile figure

I agree, and it makes Davith very sad. :(
