Themed Rebel list using Mon Mothma.

"During the early days of the the Galactic resistance and through the fall of Hoth Base, the Rebellion leadership was hunted mercilessly by the Empire. The Rebel commanders and their small bands of resistance fighters hid themselves in rag-tag fleets, running from their pursuers and staging surprise raids on key Imperial facilities, often facing far superior fleets as they did so.


Code named 'The Hunted', one such fleet was the command of Mon Mothma herself. A cobbled together collection of warships, squadrons and smugglers all dedicated to the fall of the Empire and the rise of the New Republic.


Desperate times call for desperate acts and none were more desperate than attacking the Empire's fleets with such small, but driven Rebellion forces."


This is a themed list designed more for friendly games than anything else, but I would not be averse to using it in a tournament. I figured it would be fun to fly and for me, that is what this game is all about. FUN.

I'm a fairly new player myself with only a few wins under my belt, running a somewhat similar list - but I just have to say I love the authenticity and 'early war Rebellion' feel of this list, and for making use of the underused Y-wings.

My only suggestion would be, since you're running Mothma anyway, Foresight might be a better ship than Admonition. 2 forced re-rolls seems like it would take a lot of the punch out of most attacks even at close range, unless it's Demolisher or something.

Foresight is a bit better at medium and long range, but the MC30 wants to get down and dirty close in. At that range, the extra reroll from a Foresight evade is worth about 1 point of damage. You'll select a double hit or hit/crit with an average damage on the reroll of .75-1.00. Admonition can just discard one of those double hits or hit/crits. So close in, it is going to be worth 2 points most of the time. This gap widens if you're taking fire from multiple arcs or from multiple ships. I absolutely love Foresight in an MM list, but it definitely goes in second, after you've taken Admonition.

I think the best bet for a list like this is to create a fair equally themed Imperial list for it to fight. Many gamers are quite willing to change up their game and play it differently.

Are you sure that Advanced Gunnery is something you want on this list ? Why not go for Most Wanted for example ?

Advanced Gunnery can be pretty good on Salvation and I like to try for player 1 anyway.

I mean, you might potentially be giving a free Gunnery Team to a big hitter like a MC80 or ISD. Okay for the first player, but are you sure that at 394, you'll win the bid in your area ?

A first player ISD will likely have gunny teams anyway, and if not, Salv can go toe to toe very easily.

I like this list a lot, It looks fun to play. The only things I would likely do is swap one X Wing for a HWK. I'd also pick Admo over Foresight and see if there's points for Lando somewhere.

I'd also swap AG for Most Wanted and out Mothma on the CR90.

Mon Mothma may be better suited to the CR-90, that might be a testing thing. Most Wanted is certainly a possible instead of AG. The HWK I'm meh on. My fighters are there to hunt fighters, but if I see a lot of people trying to jump away using their own Intel ships, I may just add one.
