So anybody wonder if they are going to make a 40K edition with the Fantasy system? I would totally buy that.
Wahammer...40K?
Would it be the Upcoming SPACE MARINE ?
Jay said in the interview he did for Hammerzeit that the system was designed for WFRP only and that 40K will keep it's own system.
I hope they change their mind if Warhammer Fantasy 3rd edition is succesfull.

Microsoft once claimed that they would never get into console gaming. But as the Simpson's say: Money's money all that's money.
I would hope that in the far future (not 40,000 years from now) they realize that they've got one of the best systems on their hands and expand it to other properities.
While FFG might never adapt the system to 40KRP, I might
We interviewed Jay for our podcast as well and asked him that question. The answer was that currently there are no plans to adapt 40k to these kinds of rules. Currently Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader are selling very well and Death Watch is still in the works under the current system. As long as those lines continue to do well there is no plans to change them....
That being said who knows what the future will bring.
A few months ago, before WHFRPv3 came out or was even officially announced, there was a picture circulating of what looked like a Dark Heresy boardgame, with cards representing weapons, character cards, etc. I think there was even a picture of the packaging. It was a grainy cell phone photo that I think showed up in the forum & then was gone.
Anyone remember this? Could be the shape of things to come in the far far future.

I never saw the photo in question, could have been the new Horus board game though.
RE: my earlier post....found the picture.

Interesting...

Interesting indeed.
Interesting.
But I don't expect Dark Heresy or RT to be redone. Horus Heresy will be a much better scenario for this: thousands of years before DH/RT and focused on (Chaos) Space Marines. Similar to Warhammer Fantasy FFG is able to release RPG / Bordgame / LCG in this scenario without interruption of their DH/RT-line.
I would also be interested in a 40K edition. Sadly, I probably wouldn't buy it ($100 bucks for 1 system is enough), but DH proved too chart heavy for my tastes.
