Need opinion on new Rebel list

By dsh7718, in X-Wing Squad Lists

What do you guys think of this list.

Jake Farrel - push the limit, veteran instincts, A wing test pilot chardaan refit auto thrusters

Corran Horn - expose, fire control system, R2D2

Biggs - R4D6, integrated astromech

100 points

The idea here is to keep Biggs close to corran and keep him alive for as long as possible. Corran exposes to fire four or five dice at a target. Then at end of the round corran fires again with the bonus dice. This would put 8 to 10 red dice into a target in one turn. Also after Corrans first shot he will have a target lock for his second. Jake flies as the flanker but can form up to add more dice into a choice target.

I manage to go 3-1 in a small store tournament (11 players) with a similar list.

Corran Horn - Veteran Instincts, Fire Control System and R2-D2
Wes Janson - Veteran Instincts, R3-D2 and Integrated Astromech
Biggs - R4-D6 and Integrated Astromech.

We were using the old points system, I manage to do 2 minor victories, a full win and a loss.

Against aces usually the game end with the opponent with one ace and me with Coran. With the new point system this is great 'cause, imperials don't use aces that cost as much as Coran so, if Coran is alive and only one ship is left on the opponent side... I win. And I win a full victory, a full point, 'cause there aren't minor victories anymore.

Against Dengaroo this list is strong.

The only loss that I have was against Coran/Super Dash and my opponent was rolling like a god and I on the other hand manage to double Tap twice with my coran against his Dash and only removed 3 shields...

Anyways, I think this list is the only thing with some potencial in the actual meta if you want to play with rebels. So far I'm happy with it.

It looks good, but why no chardaan refit on Jake?

Adding the refit would give you a 2 point bid for no downside, or allow you to kit Jake out with autothrusters.

I completely forgot about chardaan refit. Auto thrusters will be a fine addition to the A wing. Thanks

Thanks for the mini report. I do appreciate the info from a similar style of list. I plan on taking my list to a local store tournament in August. I will report my results here.

Also another thought, what lists would possibly cause me trouble with my list. I know crack swarm is tough for most lists. So I will try and practice vs it. What others would cause a difficult matchup?

Thanks

Aces may cause trouble since you're highest is 9 and you don't have a bid. Expose opens Corran up to being as durable as an x-wing (IE not very), but I understand an extra attack die is cool when you shoot twice. Biggs makes your u-boat match-up more favorable and with autothrusters on jake even more so. Good luck, rebels do have the short end of the stick right now.
