This makes me sad and the times sad and you know what sad times mean.

Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say "Ni" at will to old ladies. There is a pestilence upon this land! nothing is sacred. Even those who arrange and design shrubberies are under considerable economic stress at this point in time.

So all is lost. Wave 3,4 does not matter, Gencon does not matter. Nothing matters. Well I have ice cream at least.

Being Milk-Allurgic and not being able to have IceCream.

My wife-to-be has a casein allergy. It SUCKS. She misses cheese horribly. She has found solice in Almond milk for tea, but its not quite the same.

And they all contain Cocoa, because they all have Chocolate...

So, uh. . .umm. . .you can freeze bananas and then blend them and pretend it's ice cream. It's how I trick my kids sometimes.

I have a friend who is allergic but will still eat lot of pizza like 78 slices at CICI's. He is dumb.

I mean, when it comes to Chocolate, at least, I don't know what I am missing. I had it when I was 2, it nearly killed me, and I havn't touched it again - nor actually remember the experience.

Milk though, my tolerance has gone up and down throughout the years... I can have about a half-cup, which is just enough to get through the (very long) 18+ hour days I have with 2 cups of Coffee that isn't blacker than my soul.

But, terrible...

Its just as terrible at the naked affrontery that we were subjected to a few weeks ago... Where the Email Twitch link told us that WWPD was playing Armada, but when you logged in, you were presented with Guild Ball.......

Try coconut milk. Had some on a flight. Totally hooked.

As someone who may recall Cleese's book store skit. I am actually a trained Quantity Surveyor and while my library doesn't contain Ethil the Aardvarks book it is generally regarded as being outdated and not worth reading. Bob the Builder's Building Bids for Beginners is required reading at first year university on the other hand.

And trust me, after having this for over 30 years, I've tried most 'branches' of things... But I'm willing to take specific suggestions if I can find them in Canada, and not have them cost a pretty penny...

So rest assured, I've tried all the types of milk you can (even sheep / goat, in case it was a bovine protein allergy - it wasn't) to little progress.

But the biggest stumbling block is cost.

When a Kinder Surprise for my kiddo and a chocolate bar for my wife costs me $2 at the local 7/11, and I have to take a five-hour-round-trip across town to go to a Farmer's market to pick up a Carob based rice bar for $5.... I don't be bothered.

I feel your pain Drasnighta. I'm dairy and gluten intolerant and the combination is worse than both separately, because a lot of gluten free stuff contains dairy, and vice versa. Thankfully, with all these hipsters declaring themselves gluten free for health reasons (whatever...), the shops in the UK are generally pretty good about having "free from" stuff.

On a more Armada-related note I finally started painting the Villain ships up, and I have 2 fighter packs waiting after those

Having a dairy allergy is my third biggest personal fear in life

I was watching a Japanese TV program on allergies and they have people allergic to rice, which would be pretty high up the list. Also, aluminum, given that many canned foods and cooking tools are aluminum.
