Well, for starters, I can work on characters when I don't have all the cards in front of me. Second, after choosing a career it lets you know what the primary modifiers are and gives you the career skills as well. Third, I will probably create a filled character sheet when I have a bit more time.
Still, if it's not your thing, then don't use it. It works for my group and lets them play around with and get interested in the game, so we do. Simple, really.

Thanks for the great work, awesome, now what I'm wondering is if anyone else is having trouble with the career down, I can only chose from the agent and acolyte, nothing else. The data is there, but the menu doesn't work?

Odd, maybe its that I am using open office on a mac.
I added the new file to the archive. The link in my sig now downloads a zip with both versions in it.

I finally had a few free minutes and finished round 1 of my updates to the Character Helper. I added in the racial talent and skill options so that you can create a complete starting character on the worksheet.

I've got the Character Helper saved to my harddrive, though I think it's an older version than the one Cgeist7 mentions above.
I'll send it to you now skolo, let me know if anyone else wants it.

So...after couple of hours trying different things I started updating this file.

is it me or is the formula incorrect for establishing the starting statistics bumps to career primary stats? it seems to be looking in cell D4 rather than E4 for the first of the two primary stats.
you are right. overlooked that while inserting additional column for the talent slot
