Did they really? I heard FFG employees even play HOTAC, so I would be surprised if they did that. Its not like the guy makes any money off of it.

It wasn't over Atari Cluster, it was over one of their other side projects. And it didn't come from FFG.

I think the Missions should be a mandatory side event at all major X-wing gatherings, just to get more people playing them. Missions are HELLA fun and they could even work in a tournament.

HOTAC will not a C&D because there not making money off of it, its a free for everyone project. (I mean they could because if Disney wants to protect its right they might have a case, but I have not heard of a NOT profit fan thing being taken down, I sure it happens but proby not often) . Space Rocks was making a profit and selling for profit so that's why a C&D was issued, if it was completely free they might still be around. (though the Neb is trade marked so who knows)

Your correct, FFG owns the rights and could do it with out paying the HOTAC people. I just kind of hope that A) the pay them for the work they did B) they bring this out as a product seeing they could make it balanced for the other ships and have some sweet templates. B can happen without A but I always like to see people get rewarded for their hard work.

Your mistaken. FFG has the licensure for the ships and the themes, however that is not enough to get around intellectual property laws. As soon as someone submits an original idea in any form where the date can be verified (i.e. forums) the idea itself becomes legal property of the one who published. Going to the HOTAC thing, the creators own it. If FFG published it without purchasing it, they would have their pants sued off, or at least could if the HOTAC people so chose. Haven't you ever wondered why FFG never used a single idea from any of these forums regardless of how great they are? As soon as it's put up here, FFG would have to prove they had it first. If you truly want an idea put into action you should mail it in and include a phrase such as I hereby give up all right to compensation and relinquish any claim of intellectual property.

FFG do not accept unsolicited games design pieces.

Its part of their contact guidelines.

When they do a campaign add on if they are going to have a solo option, and I hope they do, I would love to see app support for ai and maybe even campaign info tracking such as leveling, deaths, etc.

The app they have for descent is a great example of what they could do with x wing. It makes a co-op campaign and takes into account your collection to set what the AI will use.

Road to Legend is really great and I am sure the same type of app in x wing would be VERY popular, in fact I would not be surprised at all if FFG already had something in the works as far as that goes but hasn't let us know.

I forgot to mention I would 100% prefer an app to a boxed set. I already have 10 bazillion tokens thanks very much.

Maybe a box with just some of the extras (turrets and such) like HotAC sold seperate.

App would allow for in-app purchases of scenarios/campaign info while not removing the FLGS from selling physical product, which sounds like what they would prefer anyways.

...and it should have multiple campaigns in ONE box.
