Final draft of my first character

By Kalidor, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

OK!

Here's the final version of my character heading into our first game (which, unfortunately, won't be until sometime in January sad.gif )

So, I present to you.......Cyrin Lechler, Barber-Surgeon extroidinaire!

Human Reiklander-

STR- 2
TGH- 3
AGI- 2

INT- 5
WIL- 2
FEL- 4

Trained Skills: Discipline, First Aid (specializing in Combat Surgery) and Leadership.

Talent: Resourceful and the Barber-Surgeon career talent

Action cards: Melee Strike, Ranged Strike, Assess the Situation, Perform a Stunt, Block, Improved Guarded Position, Coordinated Strike, Inspiring Words, and Splints & Bandages.

He is affluent, with many to all of the typical trappings associated with his career (I took a few extra silvers off his total to reflect the scissors, scalpel, etc.) Total $$$ remaining is 4 Gold and 40 Silver.

He wields an axe, primarily, with a dagger as back-up.

He wears Leather armour and a small buckler.

Again, I went with that support concept and I think this version will be much more useful to the party.
I still intended him to be more of a roleplaying-type character, and will have him constantly make odd suggestions about the other party members' haircuts, etc...
I'll also have him flick that eye monocle-thing down when he says something "important", such as at the start of a battle, Cyrin will scream out "Alright boys! Just a little off the top now!"

Corny...but lovin' it!

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

One of the comments from BGG was that maybe I should raise that Willpower score...

"Go for the eys boo, go for the eyes" Small, but viscious hamster ^^

A llittle off the top is almost as good a battlcry, I approve.

Very nice!

I would love to see more Character builds in the forums.

It's just good to see how players are setting up there characters.

Keep em coming!

What's his story?

Maybe I will use him someday when my players will be in need of a doctor.. or haircut gran_risa.gif

I would think a barber-surgeon would main the dagger and have the axe as back-up myself. And the dagger would actually be a huge pair of shears.

COOL!

I'll post my Thief's stats this weekend.

Laszlo the Stoat

He's a lower class rogue who's trying to make a name and reputation as a famous outlaw.

He likes to leave a calling card: a laurel wreath made of Belladonna leaves.

I'm working on the design of his cloth mask. Something iconic. Not sure.

Physically, he will be a scrawny, short red head. One of his ears is missing (it was cut off as a punishment by his drunken father).

He has the Surprise Attack! Action from the Adventurer's Toolkit, which is REALLY awesome (he can make knives appear seemingly out of nowhere to surprise stab people), Acrobatic Strike and Back Stab.

He has the Shadow Stalker and Jack of All Trades Talents.

Barnabas Pawel

Reiklander Smuggler

Str 3
To 3
Ag 3
Int 4
WP 2
Fel 4

Wealth: Comfortable
Skills: Skulduggery, Guile (Appear Innocent), Stealth
Talents: Connected, Better Lucky Than Good
Actions: Scrutinise, I Thought We Were Friends, Big City Bravado

Here’s some character that I made, though I’m not sure when I’ll ever get to actually be a player. I thought he might be some sort of charismatic young member of a crime family in Kemperbad who is a bit appalled by the violence inherent in that sort of thing and thinks he can set out for Altdorf with his life savings and make a new start there doing entirely illegal stuff, but trying to avoid violence and nastiness. Although he’s ruthless when he needs to close a deal, or at least thinks he is, he’s too pleasant to be a criminal, bordering on the naive.

He’s wears leathers and has a dagger but doesn’t really know how to use it.

Kalidor, my friend...this is why I'm glad you're in my pen and paper group!!!!!

Super kudos for the battle cry, btw. Hilarious!!!

/seconded. The axe should be reserved for those extra unruly manes of hair.

I don't know the 3rd Edition rules, but i wonder if these barber-surgeon is a fighter or a healer? Or are these Action-cards the minimum fighting capabilties of a non-Fighter Starting Character? Melee Strike = WS and Ranged Strike = BS? And "Coordinated Strike" = Aim in the 2nd Edition rules?

Melee Strike and Ranged Strike are the minimum levels everyone has. Coordinated strike is an extra Action that needs to be purchased. It's one that works best if you're fighting alongside someone who's better than you and you take advantage of their abilities. It's a good choice for this character.

Dude, it's gonna be awesome. I'm stoked. When do we start, BTW?!?

;)

Maybe I'll take the suggestions (thematically, it does make sense) of swapping over to dagger as my main, and axe as backup...

It could be more like an oversized straight-edged razor that the barber would be "shaving" his foes with... gui%C3%B1o.gif

I have a willpower of 2 on my character and.. in order to reduce the possibility of going insanse, I am thinking about bumping it up to 3.

That's funny, I am playing with a charcter (havent started yet) that perfectly matches your character's description... you arent in the SF Bay Area ae you?
