man, it's not a FREE illicit too
?
space fringer could've been a nice alternative to flying bumpmasters at 30 with feedback, not so much at a prohibitive 32
would've been a great way to fix Fringers and attempt to bandage the ORS

You can get the Countermeasures Glitterstim combo on a 2400 or Falcon.
Given the higher agility, I'd probably say a YT-2400.
But yeah, whilst the Boost-Every-Turn-With-No-Downsides is obviously better in the long run, a YT-2400 with Experimental Interface, Smuggling Compartments, Burst Of Speed, and Leebo is going to move......rather a long way.
Games of 'hunt down Dash' tend to end when he gets cornered somewhere - and I suspect players would happily give up one turn's shooting for a "where the ****" did he go!!?!?" super-speed burst that can cover 3/4 of the width of the board, straight through the obstacles.
The downside is you need to shake off Ion tokens every other turn, but you also get your Elite Pilot Talent free.

you can get "where the **** did he go" with Kanan opening up the entire dial

Said it a couple times already, but there's a new generic 1300 in Heroes, and I for one have high hopes that it corrects a lot of the errors with the ORS.
Reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllly wish this also said "If your pilot skill is 2 or less, this upgrade cost is -3"
Poor ORS and WSF... Missed opportunity for sure...
I think we will be getting more mods and illicits in the expansions that follow HotR so the Snuggling Compartment will give more options. I think Scum Aces will come with some pretty bad-ass Illicits at low low prices.
Finally anti-acing with Eaden Vrill (+ Feedback array)

Save the countermeasures and glitterstim for that random 4k if you don't need it to absorb an alpha strike.
Edited by Cr0akerCould only people who have actually read the rules and/or understand what the various upgrades are and how they work post combinations from here on, please?
Otherwise, I feel we're only moments away from someone talking about running an illicit cloaking device + stygium particle accelerator equipped Dash...
That was suggested on reddit...

I don't care what it smells like, get in there!

The big reason why EU on Dash was so important is to avoid getting donut holed.
Well, with Feedback, suddenly that's not a huge problem, now is it?
Smuggling compartment actually ends up decreasing the cost of your Dash builds. It's also a critical improvement in that instead of before, where Dash's movement was preemptive and reactionary, now Dash is able to dictate the tempo of the engagement. Even if you go the whole game without using feedback array, that means that you've gone the whole game without being donut holed. Still good. Before, running Dash was all about running away from the enemy, enough where they couldnt get within range 1 of you. Now, you can just kinda sit in place and do whatever you want. Meaning that Kanan isn't necessary, meaning that your crew slot is open again.
This one card is going to bring an entirely new kind of Dash build to the game.
What? EU is 4pts. Glitterstim countermeasures, probably the only combo we'll see on Dash is 5pts.

Guidance Chimps, Tractor Beans, and now Snuggling Compartments. I like it. (And you can use all 3 on the Outrider !)
its limited to the yt1400 AND the yt2400?
ok...HyperDash is about to get some new toys to play with...greaaaat lol. Imagine him with Glitterstim backup...

You realize he can't take Engine with Glitterstim, and he'd end up double-stressed if using PtL, right?

You could flip Rec Spec for Jan Ors, Better for the 1 turn Anti alpha strike but not as great for the long game, just depends what you think your going to face a lot of.

This is close to what I run now when I run Dash/Lothal. RecSpec + Lone wolf is more defensive than you would think. Full dial helps make up for no EU.

A riff on the old Han Shoots First approach could make great use of Glitterstim:
Han Solo
++Gunner
++C3PO
++Smuggling Compartments
++Glitterstim
++Millenium Falcon

The worst part about this card is that it doesn't say " YT-1300, YT-2400 and YT-2000 only. "
One would assume that, if we ever got a YT-2000, it could come with the 'Illicit' upgrade built-in (?for just some of its pilots?).
Not that I'm saying it's likely we'll get a YT-2000, given how much new stuff seems to be coming from "canon" sources, these days. Seems more than enough to keep FFG busy for the foreseeable future. But ya never know - if it does come out, though, it can just be designed and balanced from the ground-up based on the currently-available slots and meta, rather than needing to have something new and thematically appropriate 'patched in, later'.
