How well does this game adjust to duels between Order/Order (and Destruction/Destruction)?

By moCat, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

One thing I noticed in duelling originally with just the starter decks - while the game has some great matchups between Order v. Destruction, it doesn't seem more than just a race on the Order v. Order decks to see who gets their 'engine' running first. Most evident in Dwarves v. Empire, in that both of these races have a hard time using their faction-specific cards in playing havoc with your opponent's Supports/Developments.

Is this something that you see 'goes away' with the addition of constructed decks, and the like? We've since moved on & started constructing decks, but I see a very limited capability on the side of Order to cut the legs out from under a bunch of Troll Slayers (hard to do because of the stunty legs, I guess)...and it is just a race to see who gets there first.

Just some thinking out loud...

Expanding your deck construction options with multiple Core Sets and Battlepacks will make that rat race disappear. There are some vastly different deck designs available, with more becoming available with each battlepack release.

Order vs Order and Destruction vs Destruction won't feel like mirror matches in a constructed environment.

i agree with fiendish
i felt the same when i just had 1 core set...
but after i got more core sets and Skavenblight BP that rat race did disappear

To get around the Troll Slayers, use the empire card that moves up to 2 developments from one zone to another. Takes the wind right out of their sails.
