X-Wing Festival of Nations (All 14 languages the game comes in)

Took me about 9 months but I finally collected all 14 languages of X-Wing. When I started at Worlds last year I had no idea that some of these existed, and it turned out to be a tougher (and more expensive) task than I'd expected.

I owe a big thanks to a bunch of international pilots who traded or donated cards for this project! I only did pilot cards for this, but I have a ton of upgrades as well. I also have some cool bits like Finnish and Hungarian pilot chits, and a Hungarian damage deck and T-70/TIE F/O dials.

I'll be at Worlds, and am after some more French, Spanish, and Polish cards if anyone can bring them. For now I am done shipping internationally for a bit though!

Aurebesh????

Aurebesh????

Haha! I do have the BB-8, I should add him but it's at work right now.

That's awesome! I wanted to get some German X-wing on my last two overseas trips, but couldn't get to an open game store that sold X-wing.

The Portuguese wording sounds weird, especially after all this time playing in English...

Will be interesting to see what the local "slang" is for X-wing, when I manage to go back home this year.

I want some Polish cards. :(

I think we should all refer to tie interceptors now as 'abfangjager'.

The reason that the Finnish cards come with the Swedish cards is that Swedish is an official language in Finland and everyone learns it in school.

Cool! I've learned a bunch of random facts in the course of this project!

Very cool. Enjoy collecting!

Thanks!

Had no idea they released X-Wing in Mandarin Chinese. That's awesome. When I get home, I'm going to take a crack at translating it just for the hell of it.

That is so awesome! I am practically obsessed with German stuff, so I really want some German Xwing stuff.

The Mandarin is the old script which means the game is released in Taiwan but not China? Anyway reading it in the other dialects is pretty funny as well.

The Finnish set is quite funny as some of the translations are downright crappy and/or ridiculous. Also the rulebook contained errors which were not in the English rules. The publisher clearly went for the lowest price when making the translation.

saw this on face book and posted it in a few groups..... now seem to have a group of people wanting to swap cards from around the world with me.

Maybe it might be time to start a language card swap group
